We visited with family. The restaurant is part of an old hotel that has just been renovated. There is a casino attached, but operated by another person. On the walls of the restaurant are antique prints of past stage performance billings at the theater just below the restaurant. We have also attend one of the plays and had a great time.
The food was Italian and priced so almost anyone could afford to eat there. All dinners comes with dessert also. Spumoni ice cream is the standard dessert, but for a little extra you can get one of the best brownies I have ever eaten with vanilla ice cream and a cherry on top. It appears that each order is made upon the waiter(s) advising the cook and it is not standing around under heat lamps waiting on an order to come in.
If we are in Cripple Creek at dinner time and Italian sounds good. The Midland Depot will be our choice for good food and quite atmosphere. Some day we may stay in one of the hotel rooms just for fun.
