“View of the Yaks”
Reviewed March 6, 2014

Really nice place to eat, fresh ingredients. You know there is an ethos to the place. Really liked the idea of the farm and getting the produce directly. I personally don't eat meat, but my husband does and was impressed with the yak burger. But the interior needs updating, as does the shop. The outdoor balcony is nice but is a bit disappointing as you are looking out onto the parking lot. But if you are passing it by on the way to Crestone it is worth a stop.

“Great Yak Barbecue!”
Reviewed September 19, 2013

Only thing i disliked was carpet in the dining area (old) Great that there was a small grocery store to get some organic provisions. Nice that there 's farm to fork availability off the beaten path.

“Snack on Yak”
Reviewed September 6, 2013

Liked the pulled yak BBQ. The meat was mild tasting and the condiments were fresh and locally sourced. There is outdoor seating with mountain views. This is a small restaurant with minimal staff, so you might allow a little extra time in case they are busy.

“The Place for Yak Lasanga”
Reviewed May 25, 2013

If you have already arrived in Crestone, then we can safely assume that you are the type of person that might want to eat Yak lasanga. I would have to say that the food here is really good and the cooks really seem to have fun preparing fun and trippy food to eat. It might be a little more expensive then you'd guess it would be, but its worth it in my humble opinion.

“Great fresh local food”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

Local, organic, tasty and fresh. Excellent food, the prices are a bit high, but realistic for the freshest food and local, organic ingredients. Live mellow music by local and imported musicians occasionally too.
