“Anniversary Getaway!”

Love it, love it, love it! From the location to the ammenities the thoughtful hosts to the fabulous breakfasts. We can't get enough of this place. We've been back 4 times for our anniversary and each time we are delightfully amazed with their overall great hospitality. In one weekend we experienced excellent breakfasts, a complimentary massage in the backyard, taking the tandem cruiser downtown for a wonderful meal, and to top it off chocolate covered strawberries in our room. Their willingness to make our vacation better than we could have imagined is appreciated. And don't forget to grab a fresh baked cookie on your way out the door!

We LOVE the Ruby in Crested Butte. The location is super walkable, the rooms are really clean and nicely decorated and the breakfast is awesome. One of the best parts is that we were able to bring our dogs, as they're pet friendly, and they were comfortable being with us the whole time. Cassie is the icing on the cake, she's super knowledgeable about the area and just plain awesome to hang out with while enjoying the Inn. Oh and take the tandem bike for a spin, or if you're not so brave (or willing to bicker with your loved one) the single cruiser bikes are great too.

Room Tip: The upper floor is a huge room with a loft!

We are repeat visitors to Crested Butte. This, however, was our first stay at The Ruby. Innkeeper Cassie and her staff are absolutely delightful people. They are so knowledgeable about the area, and provided great tips on hiking trails. They created scrumptious breakfasts; they offered wonderful restaurant recommendations. We enjoyed seven nights at The Ruby, and would recommend it highly. Plus, we were able to travel with our miniature dachshund! -Joe & Marion

My partner and I decided to take a last minute road trip to Crested Butte and needed accommodations that allowed us to bring our dog. As we reviewed our options we noticed that besides being pet friendly, The Ruby also posted the symbol for the Human Rights Campaign Fund on their website which indicated to us that they were a 'gay-friendly' establishment, another big 'plus' as far as we were concerned.
We booked a king room and were very pleased with the accommodations. Everything was super comfortable, the bedding was luxurious, the little extras like fresh baked cookies created a very welcoming feel.
All of the staff were super friendly and helpful and made us feel right at home. The location was wonderful, we had big views from virtually every window and an amazing pedestrian trail up to Mt. Crested Butte could be accessed just 1 block from the Ruby.
The biggest test for us is whether or not our Sheltie, Ricky, is comfortable because he is very discriminating and cannot settle in if the 'vibe' isn't right. He loved the Ruby! We all slept great and enjoyed the amazing breakfasts each morning. We will definitely stay at The Ruby on future trips to Crested Butte.

The Ruby is a lovely inn with all the amenities you could want. The decor is fresh and
pleasing. Bed comfortable. Room well supplied with anything you might need. Coffee
brews automatically at 6 AM, a plus for us until breakfast. Cookies, fruit, sodas and
wine available anytime. Breakfast was actually a lavish brunch which was different
every morning. Chris and his staff were friendly and full of helpful hints. Would not
hesitate to make a return visit.

Room Tip: The only issue should be what type of beds you want. All the rooms were wonderful.

My wife and I stayed here with our two dogs on a mountain bike trip to Crested Butte. The location is excellent, just a short walk or bike ride to town. They have a full fleet of cruiser bike at your disposal for a quick ride downtown. The staff and breakfast were great. Getting to the resort easy super easy via the bike path (in the summer) or bus (in the winter).

I only have a couple small complaints - In addition to the great location, we chose this place because they allow dogs, but we had to leave our dogs crated while we were gone and they require that you not leave them more than 2 hours at a time. I understand their concern, but I think they should give their customers the benefit of the doubt that they've traveled with their dogs before and know how their dogs behave in an unfamiliar place. Also, it's a shoes-off kind of place. No big deal, it just would have been nice to know ahead of time so I could plan to bring some shoes that are easy to slip on and off instead of wrestling with shoes every time I hauled gear back and forth to the car.

This B&B is really something. The organisation of the place is tremendous and has been incredibly well thought through. Our room was well-sized, comfortable and beautifully decorated. (Every room has a different decor.) Breakfasts were delicious and varied. There were books to help us plan (and take on) hikes which were very useful. We enjoyed the complimentary water and cookies, and my husband enjoyed the complimentary beer. It is conveniently located for wandering around Crested Butte.

Room Tip: As far as I could tell all rooms are wonderful.
