“Good coffee shop”
Reviewed July 24, 2014

They have 2 locations, one in the ski village (where we stayed) and one in town. The location in the village was steps from where we stayed, and it opened at 7am. The coffee was good, and they offer pre-made breakfast burritos (even one vegan one) if you want more than pastries.

It just seemed like they were short-staffed each morning with a long line of waiting customers. The two employees were working their tails off, so it appeared that they could have used one more person for the 'rush hours' after opening in the morning.

They even offer a dairy-free mocha which was really good!

“What's the big deal?”
Reviewed July 20, 2014

Average coffee, average breakfast burrito, average service, and pastries that appear to have come from the City Market or Safeway rather than an actual bakery. Line was out the door during peak summer season at all hours, but I'm not sure what the big deal is. Nice sitting area outside is the best thing this place has going for it, other than the funky old building. Personally, I'd go a half block down the street to the bookstore, where the coffee is equally good, perhaps better, and things aren't so frantic.

As an aside: while waiting in a line 20 or so people long, the owner, or a friend of the owner brazenly cut in front of all of us and ordered 5 or 6 drinks for her and her family. I get that that's her prerogative, but it was in poor taste at best, if not completely rude.

“Excellent coffee!”
Reviewed July 18, 2014

You'll consistently get the best coffee there, any hour of the day. The place is very popular and, though it can be crowded in the morning, the line moves fast. They open at 6 am, which is great for early risers. It's a "must" stop for coffee lovers. Love the small outdoor sitting area and original decor with hundreds of license plates!
