Description: django's is a locally owned restaurant in Crested Butte, with a seasonal menu of globally inspired small plates. This culinary adventure offers a fun dining experience best shared with friends: the plates are brought one at a time, for everyone to taste more than 20 different selections on the weekly menu. The wines are served by quartino (250ml) carafe, to allow for pairing and sampling across an extensive list focused on European and South American wines. The interior is elegant yet casual, offering seating in low banquettes, high tables, or on the balcony overlooking the bar. If you prefer dining outdoors, grab a table on the front patio, where you can see and be seen on Elk Avenue.

We went for the tapas and wine after riding the mountain. We met Chris, the owner. His wife is the chef. The staff was knoweldgable and attentive. The wine list had types of wines I had never had and served them in "quartinos". The food was exotic, but we ate every last bite of it. We enjoyed the venicine meatballs, sliders, flatbread, olives and drank two different kinds of reds. Overall, we would go back in a heart beat! Ambience was mellow and sophisticated. Enjoy if you go!

If you are a foodie like we are, you MUST stop at dejango's. It is a small plate restaurant, but it is filling and very reasonable. The brussel sprouts are TO DIE FOR!!!!! Great atmosphere, and the owners are present and it shows!!!!!! Dont miss this spot!!!!

Django's has outstanding small plates and an extensive wine list. We especially enjoyed the fat bread with roasted musrooms, the steak and frites and the frize salad with pomegranates. The service was excellent.

We live in Crested Butte and have been to Django's 4 times now. Every single time we go, the service remains outstanding and the food continues to get better and better. Our most recent trip was last night and since we had six people, we ordered one of everything on the menu. It was by far the most enjoyable evening I have ever had at a restaurant, with our taste buds continually being astonished with new and delicious combinations. Each of the dishes was superb and we all agreed that, given the option, we would have omitted anything in favor of getting a second dish. We also decided that Kate is one of the best chefs ever and her best dishes are those that combine salty and sweet, like the prosciutto wrapped dates (date with a pig) and the pork belly with date-kumquat sauce. Definitely try to get six people together so you can do the one of everything. We spent 2 1/2 hours there eating food and drinking wine and left feeling exactly to the point of being satiated.

Chris and Kate are without a doubt two of the most humble people I have ever met (say nothing of the absolutely amazing dishes Kate comes up with.) With tapas style dining and eastern European dishes you can't possibly leave hungry nor will u leave wishing you ate less. Quite possibly the best restaurant I've ever been too.
