Comfortable stay. Very basic and rustic with a great vintage charm. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom is super small and only a mist comes from the shower head. Loved leaving the windows open to feel the cool Colorado mornings. Awesome view of Bristol head from porch. There seemed to be a propane leak which made the cabin smell but it wasn't intense. The hosts are helpful and friendly. If you're on a budget and want something simple this would meet your needs.

Ted and Debby are VERY accomodating to your needs. VERY easy going. The cabins were clean and very rustic and aged. We were in cabin #7. A one room cabin. The bed was comfortable and everything you need is in this cabin. GREAT place to stay. We will be returning for sure.

Room tip: Outlets are limited so bring extension cords.

We very much enjoyed our 5 days at the R/C Ranch! Each cabin is a little bit different - we were in #9 which is a 1-bedroom with a nice kitchen and living area. The cabins are very clean, nary a bug (which surprised me on a horse ranch) and there were plenty of linens available. The shower had plenty of hot water and good pressure, the bed was extremely comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped - even had a microwave, which we didn't expect. The whole ranch is "rustic" but that was part of its charm to us - the cabins really fit their environment; they are decorated nicely in tune with their location and age (this one was built in 1925 according to the date etched on the front). There are limited electric outlets and all except one (in the bathroom) was 2-pronged, but an adaptor was available and we had no problem with power. We liked the taste of the water so much we filled all of our containers before we left.

It's about a 20 minute drive into Creede, but we also did a lot of hiking in the opposite direction so for us it was a perfect, convenient location. Many of the other families who were there when we were said they return every year. I definitely would recommend this ranch but only to those who understand it will be a comfortable but rustic experience - if you need "modern," TV or room service then this isn't the place for you. We would definitely go back!
