Recommended length of visit: More than 3 hours
Owner description: Frisco or San Francisco. Denver or Dallas. It doesn't matter where you're from. If you've skied here, you've been raised on some of the best Colorado has to offer. For generations, people have valued a down-to-earth ski experience that puts friends, family and a relaxed mountain atmosphere above all else. It's why the Colorado front range has always considered Copper the home team, and why families from across the globe call Copper home. The place you go for a mountain experience that's refreshingly void of pretense. Wherever your home address may be, if you've skied here, you've been raised on Colorado. Welcome home.

“Summer visit to Copper Mountain”
Reviewed August 14, 2012

Fun place to hang out during the day as they have lots of activities. We rode the lift to the top of the mountain for lunch which was free with a $15 lift ticket! It sleeted on us in August! Relaxed town, much more so than Vail.

“Easy drive from the Front Range”
Reviewed July 29, 2012

Always a nice place to ski and certainly better snow there this past year, than in some of the better known places. Solid variety of terrain. Close to too other major areas and 20 minutes from Vail. And that is the key -- if you do not want to go the extra 20 minutes or cannot get over Vail Pass, this is right off the highway and is great for day skiing. Must have a car because there is not much right there compared to Frisco 5 minutes down the road or the discount shopping in Silverthorn.

“Relaxed atmosphere for the family summer vacation”
Reviewed July 21, 2012 via mobile

Just visited Copper Mountain this morning with my husband & my 4 children. During the summer, spend $10 per person in the village and receive a free lift ticket. We hiked the Hallelujah Trail once we got off of the chairlift. Breathtaking views! Go early to avoid the afternoon rain. Very relaxing and enjoyable!

“Family Skiing Fun”
Reviewed July 18, 2012

Our sons began skiing as soon as they could put on their own skis. Copper Mountain has always been one of our very favorite ski areas--wide trails, lots of variety in terrain and ability, and a glorious area at the top (above the timberline) with few skiers and lots of quick loops to do over and over again. Check for specials on lift tickets with City Market/Kings Sooper grocery stores. Hotels in nearby Frisco/Dillon are a little more affordable than at the Copper base. And don't miss the shopping at the Silverthorne outlet stores.

“Well Designed”

This is one of the very best ski resorts in the central mountains. With three distinct mountains with a relatively clear division of skill level, you will have a ball...
