Fairfield Inn & Suites Colorado Springs South

This was the best hotel we stayed while touring Colorado. The lobby/breakfast area was small but cheerfully decorated. The front staff were v ery nice, breakfast was sufficient. The rooms were comfortable. Carrabas and Outback restaurants were within walking distance for meals. This is a convenient place to stay if your planning to see Canon City for the Royal Gorge Bridge which is an hour away and Pueblo to the south. The pool is adequate, limit is 16 people. We stayed in Room 131 which is near the stairwell and door to the upper floors. This is the only negative thing because it can get noisy when people come in but this we have no control over since they were booked. Next time we'll ask for a room in the middle.

A 3 year old $300, men's bike was stolen from bike carrier while staying overnight . Car was parked under outdoor spotlight near front entrance .Bike lock cut and taken along with bike which did not have the bike post or seat on it.
No security camera for lot .Fairfield inn manager assumed no responsibilty for loss or offer any compensation for loss of bike.

We stayed here with our 3 children - aged 15,13, and 10 - while vacationing in Colorado. Location was very convenient to all the tourist attractions - Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, Flying W Ranch, etc. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and our kids loved the complimentary breakfast. The room was not very large, but worked for us for the short time we were in our rooms.

Stopped in at last minute on trip to Estes Park. Chuck was extremely helpful in booking our rooms (we called to check availablity on the road) and directing us to local restaurants. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included and made for a nice start to our day.

We drove back from Canon City, stopped by Colorado Springs for visiting Pikes Peak. We chose this hotel since it was the cheapest ($94) one of the Marriott chain in this area. Well, it turned out to be one of the best hotels I stayed. Room is very clean, close to a mall and a theater. The area is nice. There is a pond around the hotel. You can see the mountains around. Free internet. Breakfast has bagel, bread, egg, pancake, cereal, apples, milk, juice and bacon cheese burger. It is about 20 min from Pikes Peak, right off I25. All of us (5) loved this hotel. Will certainly stay here again if in this area.

Very good value at $75/night. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly, rooms are a decent size, and there is free wireless internet. There is a free breakfast buffet - bagels, muffins, cereal, fruit, and waffle-maker. The lobby area is small, as are the indoor pool and exercise room - the Fairfield is a pretty utilitarian place designed for business travelers.

The area is low on ambiance but very convenient, with a number of major national retailers (Target, Office Max, etc) and chain restaurants (Carrabba's and Outback are across the parking lot). There is also a movie theater complex across the street. Location is about 10 minutes from downtown and 10-15 minutes to the airport.

I will stay again when business takes me to COS.

I spent 3 nights at this hotel in mid May. The hotel was clean, decent and the king room I received was what I expected.
Positives:
Continental breakfast including fresh waffles
Freindly and helpful staff
Wireless internet and internet computer available in the lobby
Nice setting, enjoyed the ducks in the pond

Items that could stand some improvement:
Shower aea very dim
Assigned room directly next to elevator without informing me of that

Overall a good hotel thebed's were not as plush as those in the other Marriott brands, but that is to be expected.

I would stay here again.
