This is a nice property, big rooms, lounge, dining, gym, nice grounds, but I stayed here 10 years ago for a conference and other than the flat screen tv I don't see much of a change! It was a stunning facility in its heyday but could use some updating. The rooms have nice linen and great mattresses. The patios look out over a courtyard. The convention facilities are nice and well appropriated. There is a nice room service breakfast as well. My only real complaint other than the need to update, was the teeny tiny ice bucket. It would have been hood for Barbie maybe! Took a couple of trips just to get enough ice to chill a bottle of champagne down! Other than that the cookies at check inn are always a hit! The location us good with lots if great restaurants close by and security is excellent and present which is comforting. I'll be back.

This was probably a grand hotel in its day. That was likely over a decade ago. Maybe two, from the looks of it. The rooms are sub-par for a Hilton property. The food is great for those with a cast-iron stomach, as I allowed myself to be sickened twice. The lounge smells like a sewer because there's been a problem with the drain in the back room. That explains the drain flies (complete, or partially disassembled) being in the liquor bottles.
It's not all bad, though. The newer, younger staff tries to be friendly. But the folks that run this place need to take the rose-colored glasses off and start maintaining/updating the property before it falls into such disrepair that it no longer turns a buck. I'm embarrassed for whomever is responsible for this property. Have your conferences there if you must, but stay at the Hampton down the road (near the movie theater).

Arrived late at night. Everything was very nice. Have no complaints at all - especially the yummy cookies. Don't hesitate to book this hotel if your in the area. Also, lots of good restaurants within walking distance and fairly close to the airport. Maintenane clue was awesome.

Pool is heated & nice to swim in; hot tub is large but over-chlorinated. The food provided at our conference was sub-par. Our room (most important for this review) was on the ground floor 1. We had major trouble getting our door to open because it was a bad fit. They sent maintenance to fix it, and even after he left we had trouble opening the door. The rooms are not sound-proof at all. We could hear all activity in the hallway and in the room above us (at 2am, which was not pleasant).

My daughter and I stayed at this Doubletree last week. We had a wonderful experience. The lobby was spacious and clean. At check-in and throughout the week we were given warm chocolate chip cookies and there was always water available. Our room was quiet and very clean. The staff was very attentive and polite. I would definitely stay at this hotel if in Colorado Springs again.
