“Stop Over”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

Just needed a place for a 1 night layover in the Colorado Springs area. Price was great, the 2 girls at the front desk were absolutely terrific, no major complaints. Only 2 things I would consider a negative--very strong odor in the 2nd floor hallway--may have been from some sort of cleaning chemical (possibly carpet cleaning??). The other is that I requested a back side room for quiet reasons, and because of the "mountain view" that I read about in other reviews--the windows were so dirty that you could hardly see out. Forgetting these 2 "negatives, I would consider staying again because of the very friendly & helpful girls at the front, and because the interior of the room was very clean which is the most important criteria to me.

Value, very pleasant staff, back door gets locked at 11, not the best area, worn hallway carpet, clean spacious room, noise from hallway and adjacent room, older tv with a lot of free channels,Breakfast as described elsewhere we passed. But nearby Starbucks so hey good value all and all but the noise issue will probably keep us from going back.

Not much to look at from the outside, and the area isn't top notch, but this motel was a good choice to spend the night. They did not have a king bed for my reservation, but the room with 2 queens was fine, The front desk clerk was courteous and friendly. The bathroom was very clean. I would return to this Travelodge again.

The room was very spacious. Fridge and microwave included. They also have a indoor swimming pool. Only thing I found out of the norm was that you could hear conversations inside rooms from the hallway. But other than that, we really had a pleasant stay.

Good value for price paid. Pleasant staff. Easy access to Garden of Gods and other west side Colorado Springs tourist destinations. Room was spotless; hallway carpets worn and stained. Could hear voices and tv and smell cooking odors from room next door through adjoining door. Neighborhood seemed marginal. I would have liked hotel's back door locked with key card access rather than open for anyone to walk in.
