“New Golden Bee Disappointing”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2013

The newly expanded Golden Bee is such a disappointment. It is not quaint and unique anymore. You feel like you are in a chain restaurant. It is basically a Bennigan's environment. The menu is more limited than before and over priced. Now the service is too European style..it doesn't exist and is rude. I have frequented the Bee for 17 years but will not be returning. We had a problem with our order. It took over 30 minutes to be served our appetizer and so they offered us "an extra bee"!! And the cheese crocks are only filled half way. We had to ask several times for everything and the place was only a third full so they were not busy. I don't think one bar will be able to keep up with the space on a busy night and the patrons will not be drawn in to the piano player by the layout. It is unfortunate that a 51 year old landmark has been ruined.

“Perfect English Fish 'n Chips”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 16, 2012

Visiting Colorado Springs this week, and I wanted to visit The Golden Bee. What a delightful dinner! We had fish and chips, cooked perfectly, and an amber beer. They serve a really yummy cheese dip with crackers before. Loved it!

“Will Not Return”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2012

Waited 2 hrs for a table after being promised a spot by the inept "keepers of the gate" (they don't take reservations)...ok it was Sat nite Labor Day Weekend but... the whole waiting process is chaos...food looked like plain pub grub...they won't seat after the piano music starts...I suggest this place does a review of it's seating system...many angry customers. No way will we return.

“Great history, and great food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 23, 2012 via mobile

Food at The Golden Bee is excellent, as is the service! They serve the best chicken pot pie I have ever eaten. For a special treat, try the deep fried Mars bar. If you're heading there for dinner, be sure to arrive before 7PM or you might not get a seat. This is small restaurant, so seating space is limited. I ate there 3 times in one week, so you know it's great!
