Great food, many many shops, the Meadow Muffins is a great bar with wonderful food. You have to make several trips to take in it all

“They Try”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 17, 2012

I'm not completely sure why this is a highly touted feature of Colorado Springs. Parts of it are historic from the 19th century, parts of it are only historic from the 1950s. Frankly, parts of it are only dumpy. There are some cute shops and some merchants do an excellent job giving you a nice shopping experience, but there are a lot of standard gifty, junk shops. I guess there's a place for that, but it wouldn't be the highlight of my trip. There are a lot of great historic Old Town experiences in this country that are worth visiting just for them alone. I wish Old Colorado City's business owners would travel to one and see how it could be done.

I love to come here. There are so many cute shops and nice restaurants and art galleries. It is easy to get lost in the experience!

“Come to the West Side”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2012

To visit Colorado Springs without a visit to its historic West Side would make your visit incomplete. Boutiques, art galleries and other unique shopping not found in malls make for satisfying shopping and fun to browse on any day.

“Abundant shops, small cafes and a lot of streets to stroll”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 8, 2012

This is the "real" part of Colorado from days gone by. Many different antique and art shops. Small cafes and corner pubs are plentiful in this part of town.

Most parking is at meters but there are a few free public lots. You can spend a whole day here with walking the historic district, shops and a bite to eat.
