“Best Kept Secret for Summer Activities”
Review of Colorado College

Colorado College
Reviewed January 15, 2014

Colorado College, a prestigious private 4 Yr. college, has wonderful summer programs for people of all ages. The Summer Music conservatory brings young people from all over the world to work with world class musicians. The noon time concerts are FREE!! Performances are located on campus in Armstrong Hall or the Packard Center for the performing arts, occasionally the cornerstone Art Building. Parking can be challenging, so go early or walk in to the campus from North Tejon Street. The regular concerts are very inexpensive and the perfect addition to any summer.

This campus is absolutely beautiful. The college even hosts some special events during the summer. Big, beautiful trees, plenty of green spaces and lovely winding paths.

Nice campus a stone's throw north of downtown. Break out a dooby (It's legal here) and take a stroll through the open campus. Nice little coffee shop in the student housing buildings west of Cascade which bisects the campus. Great place to sit and watch young students blowing daddy's money. The CC Tigers are a nationally ranked hockey team well worth the price of admission. They play in the World Arena south of town.

We attended the most wonderful concert put on by CC. The performers were all musicians in training, but they were outstanding! A great resource for Colorado Springs!

This is a gem of a school with several great events year round for the community as well as a beautiful chapel on the campus, the Shove Memorial Chapel.
