Description: For over 40 years this family-owned German Restaurant on the south side of Colorado Springs has served over a million happy customers. The restaurant invites guests to dine in one of its several rooms decorated with artifacts from Europe. With strolling musicians on Friday and Saturday nights, three blazing fireplaces in winter, and an authentic "Biergarten" in summer, you are sure to enter into another world as a guest at Edelweiss. The authentic menu with a variety of Old World German dishes includes Schnitzel, Bratwurst, and Sauerbraten, with newer-age items such as Flammekuchen and Maultaschen. For those not so adventurous palates Edelweiss offers other Continental fare such as Chicken Cordon Bleu, Filet Tournedos, or Fresh Salmon Filet. Imported German Beers and Wines can be ordered to compliment any of the flavorful dishes. The European-trained Swiss Pastry Chef bakes all of the desserts from scratch, so save room for one of the rich Tortes or pastries, or take some to go.

Wonderful evening with friends!!! The staff was awesome and was able to accommodate our group of 18. The service was wonderful and the food was even better. Both the meals, beer and desserts were delicious. My husband got the Munchner plate and I got the Edelweiss since they combined lots of different options. It was just too hard to choose. Their spatzle was incredible! We tried several of the tortes for dessert and loved them. They even had some gluten free options. Their outside patio was a great way to end the evening. The accept reservations and you can even make them online. We will be back next time we are on Colorado!

The Black Forest cake is authentic just like the tortes served in Germany. The Kolsh beir was delicious...you know what, it was all delicious. Go back when you have the chance. The service was ok. We waited for 30 minutes before we were served.

We enjoyed a great meal in a very nice evening meal. Service was very nice, although the restaurant was extremely busy. There was even some live entertainment that went from table to table and sang some enjoyable songs with an accordion and guitar. We had a plate of Rouladen and a combination plate that consisted of veal Wiener schnitzel, sauerbraten and chicken cordon blue. It also came with plate of various salad and bread and we ordered some wonderful homemade authentic German dessert. We are ready to go back.

This place is a gem. It's a little piece of Germany in Colorado Springs. They have a terrific selection of German beers to start and an authentic menu filled with dishes that you will not likely find elsewhere. We shared the potato pancake appetizer for two. It came with four pancakes, smoked salmon, smoked trout, creme fraiche, red onions, and caviar. Wow. What a treat. For our main course we had the Rahmschnitzel and Bratwurst. Both were incredible. We shared the plum cake dessert special to finish. Our waitress, a native German who now lives in CS, could not have been nicer, funnier, or more charming. The restaurant itself is packed with every kind of German trinket, beer steins, and even stained glass. Word to the wise, however, make sure that you get a reservation as this place is EXTREMELY popular with locals. We were so pleased to have found this restaurant, and will make sure to visit again and again whenever we are in The Springs.
