Edelweiss, with the biergarten full and the accordian player going, is as German as you can get without a plane ticket. The food is authentic, but pay attention to whether or not you're ordering veal and whether it will be fried or not. The menu is a little tricky. However, the food that comes is great. Portions are large as German restaurants usually do and the beer selection is very good. This is a nice place to go if you want a taste of the old country. And it's not too expensive. It is very popular and for good reason. Make a reservation or come early.
