“Great food and a wonderful host make this restaurant a must try”
Reviewed June 23, 2013

Me and my girlfriend were looking for something new on a date night and came across this little gem. The food was well prepared and seasoned wonderfully and the hostess Maya is once of the nicest people you will ever meet. We now try to make it there once a month if at all possible as it has earned a place on our short list of great eateries here in the Springs. I highly encourage anyone to try Uchenna as its a unique experience that wont disappoint.

“Don't miss this unique eating experience!!!”
Reviewed June 20, 2013

We took our two daughters (10 and 12) to eat Ethiopian food here for the first time, and they LOVED it. No telling them to use their fork because you eat with your hands:) The food was fantastic...very flavorful and filling. Chef Maya greeted us and by the time we left we felt like we had known her our whole lives. Our daughters thought she was a grandmother they had never met. Check this place out!!!

“Amazing!”
Reviewed June 17, 2013

One of the best meals, and best restaurant experiences, I've ever had. The food is as authentic as it is exquisite, which in some cases, means no silverware! The staff is kind and very friendly, and Chef Maya herself does a good portion of the serving. She treats all her customers like family, even on their first visit, and spares no expense at making everyone feel welcome and cared for. A wonderful little restaurant with the most delicious food. Whether you choose vegetarian or meat, you won't be disappointed. You'll leave feeling satisfied and looking forward to when you can next return.

“Great experience!”
Reviewed June 15, 2013 via mobile

This was our first time to go here but based on the reviews we tried it, the food was wonderful. Very quaint and the staff are very helpful on explaining the food and also showing you how to eat it. We had the vegetarian combo which was a sampler platter and it was awesome. We also tried the rose water lemonade and orange tea. We also tried the deserts and they were wonderful also. All homemade and the owner came out and spoke to us also. Well worth a try.
