“Excellent Place to Eat”

Went to Luigi's with a large group of friends and had a wonderful time with great meals and service. Strongly recommend for those with a taste of Italian they want to satisfy. Family atmosphere.

“I guess folks in Colorado Springs don't know what good Italian food is!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2014

We have heard and read about how this is supposed to be great Italian restaurant. We tried it once and thought it was fair but certainly not great. After a few years we thought we would give it another shot, chalking up the first visit to ordering the wrong thing. So we tried it again and this time it was down right awful....pasta over-cooked, portabello mushroom drowning in vinegar, poor service. We are originally from NY, even the worst Italian joint is better than this. I do not understand how anyone can like this place. Stay home and open up a jar of Ragu if this is what you like. Really is sad for a family run business.

“ Delicious Italian charm - with history”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2014 via mobile

We saw others' TA reviews then went for dinner. Delicioso! Waiter suggested dishes with homemade pasta - everything except spaghetti noodles. Ravioli and torttolocci were fresh and tender. Food was very good and large quantity. House salad features blue cheese and tasty vinegarette. Lemon cheesecake was a good choice. Quiet atmosphere on a weeknight. We'll be back!

“Italian Family Food Doesn't Get Any Better”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 19, 2013

Everything on the menu at Luigi's is yummy. And if you can't decide, they offer half portion combinations. Their portions are generous, so consider sharing family style and expect to have leftovers. Their pizza is Mediterranean style thin crust. The space is intimate, including a fireplace in the back room. The decor includes hundreds of chianti bottles strung high on the walls adorned with pictures of Italy. Popular with the locals, expect crowds on Fri & Sat night, so plan accordingly.

“Best Italian food in Colorado Springs”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2013 via mobile

For over 50 years Luigi's has been serving up great Italian food. Family owned, this restaurant does traditional Italian dishes prepared by family members very well. Starting with the salad with the house dressing and blue cheese crumbles, the menu offers fresh and HOT Italian favorites. This may be my favorite restaurant in Colorado Springs.
