Description: Judge Baldwin's was founded in 1993 as Colorado Springs 1st "microbrewery", producing beer with it's 5 barrel system for over 20 years. In the past couple of years Baldwin's has moved away from producing beer and gone exclusively to the taphouse concept. Bringing in different beer selections from all over the state of Colorado, there is always something on draft for anyone's appetite. We have also revamped our kitchen selection with a new menu made with locally sourced ingredients. Located conviently with in the Antler's Hilton Hotel, Judge Baldwin's also features complimentary garage parking for your trip downtown.

While staying at the Antlers Hilton over Christmas we looked at their room service menu and saw a green pork chili soup. We went downstairs and asked the front desk which of the two restaurants served the pork green chili soup and they told us Judge Baldwins. We went in and it was quite slow (Christmas eve 3:00pm) and ordered a soup and half sandwich. The pork green chili soup was excellent and the 1/2 turkey sandwich was good, but not excellent.
We wanted to have a beer also and asked what was their most popular microbrew. We were told that they had quit brewing their own but did carry about a dozen selections from microbreweries from around the state. Tried one and told her I may as well have just ordered a Coors, so she quickly offered to get us another and we accepted. Sorry I have forgotten he name of the replacement but it was good.
Would definitely recommend going for the pork green chili soup and to try some of the beers they have on tap.

While staying at the Antlers Hotel, we dined at Judge Baldwins several times, and found that the variety of the menu left something for everyones taste. The variety of beers on tap was a very nice surprise as well. Although I was sad they were'nt brewing anymore, they had an all Colorado tap selection. I would definitely dine here again, for the food, beer, and service.

My brother is in town & we were touring breweries, so we stopped here as it's on every brewery list. Nice atmosphere, but when I asked for the list of their beers I was told they are no longer a brewery. From what I've seen its not that different than any other bar in town.

Like most downtown eateries Baldwin's is pricey, but if you're prepared for that the food is adequate and the beers are good. Considering they are right across the street from the Phantom Canyon Brewery, they provide a nice alternative. The service however was sadly lacking as we has to wait excessive amounts of time to have our order taken...almost 10 minutes to receive our first beer and we almost walked out before receiving our food. They really need to step up as everyone I know is much more selective where they are choosing to spend their money these days.

Food is good, menu items will satify most foodies, if you are Vegan, this place might not work for you. If you like healthy and are not so strict with yourself, t he Ahi grilled and chilled tuna with the southwest salad is fine dining. The lunch soup, salad and sandwhich deal is also good and a bargain. I tried the micro beer, 90 schilling ale; if you like sam adams, killians red or shiner bock then this beer might appeal to you
