A touch on the expensive side, but it's good.

“Excellent Dinner, Fantastic Dessert”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2008

Excellent dinner! The mussel and clam linguini was delicious! And the beef bourguignon was tender and flavorful.
The wait on Saturday night was not bad, not longer than a half hour.
Great location, close to garden of the gods.
The dessert lived up to its reputation of the best in Colorado Springs.
Excellent service.
Can't wait to go back!

“Get it in writing”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2008

Get it in writing!!! Our organization chose Marigolds for our quarterly luncheon. We first called and asked to set up a luncheon meeting and asked for cost. We were given a “manager” who quoted us a price of $15 per person for lunch including gratuity. We went back to the restaurant to finalize the luncheon and make sure that we had everything set with a face-to-face meeting. The original manager wasn’t available, but we could meet with manager number 2 after lunch was over. We waited and met with this girl who told us that there would be no problem with our 40-45 person group and that we were on target with our price and again we asked gratuity included. Yes, we were told. On the day of the luncheon, we were told new information… the room was only supposed to hold 30, but they had crammed the tables into there to accommodate 42 people…(we tried to squeeze the other 3 into areas with no table). When it came time to pay, an additional 200.00 was added to our bill…a $2.00 charge for the one person who asked for iced tea, $30.00 for an additional dessert, and you guessed it the gratuity of 20%. When we asked for the manager to have her review what she’d agreed to, we were told that neither manager 1 or 2 was available to talk with us, and when manager 3 came to our table, she informed us that we had no proof that anyone had said that gratuity would be included. I could believe it was all a misunderstanding, until the number 3 said, “you should have gotten it in writing”… When we asked to see the owner, she sent a sample bill which had another $200.00 added which she said she wished she’d have charged….
So, if you’re planning a seasonal party, a shower, or a luncheon meeting, consider another restaurant. If your heart is set on Marigolds, learn from our mistake and get it in writing! As for us, we won’t be going again!!!

“Yum.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 20, 2008

I went to Colorado Springs on business. In a one week trip, we ate here two or three times. Great seafood specials, and there was a wonderful salad with Gorgonzola if I remember right. HIGHLY recommended.
