“Need something to keep you going on those trails in Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs, CO? Marigold's is the place!”
Reviewed November 28, 2011

While I walked our two little doggies on the expanse of grass behind the restaurant, my husband avoided the line by taking a small round elevated table near the bakery case in the front and ordered a Lambburger with seasoned Fries for himself and Crab Cakes & Salad for me with a couple of local beers to wash it all down with. The Lambburger was juicy and cooked to perfection, the Fries were crispy and golden with just the right amount of spice, the Crab Cake was 99.9% pure crab meat, and the Salad of Spring Greens was fresh & lightly dressed. Meanwhile, we "cased" the enormous selection of home baked pastries for our dessert selections--ending up with a chocolate eclair (him) and a lime tart (me). The generous portions also left us with a crab cake and fries to take home for lunch. So, next time you are in Colorado Springs, a visit to Marigold's and a hike at the Garden of the Gods to work off those irresistable pastries should definitely be on your itinerary!

“Don't stop and smell this flower”
Reviewed November 28, 2011

Considering all the good reviews, I was very disappointed in the Marigold. It started with its location in a shopping center pad, and looks like it formerly was an IHOP or something. So atmosphere gets one star. Fresh bread was tasty but garlic mussels/clams appetizer was just fair. My veal scallopini, usually pounded thin and succulent, was thick and tasteless. My wife and daughter were equally blah with their entrees: mussels/clams over pasta, and chicken rigatte. No bouquet here...

“Always Great food & Yummy bakery!”

I visit family at least once a year in Colorado Springs and I always request that we go to Marigolds. No problem for family members since they love going there too!

The menu is interesting and I've never been disappointed with my choice. The breads and desserts are outstanding! Definitely a place to celebrate a birthday, special occasion or just because!

“Excellent out of the ordinary quisine”
Reviewed November 13, 2011

Excellent taste and service at a good price.
This was our first time at the Marigold Cafe, but certainly will not be our last. We were there for lunch. The food was extrordinary, like crab cakes that you don't see in many places. We were there at 1:30pm and still had to wait 5 min. for a table. If you go there for dinner, call ahead and make a reservation. We looked at their menu for dinner and will for sure go the next time we are in the Springs. Excellent atmosphere, superior service and the best food ever!

“Great Restaurant!”
Reviewed November 11, 2011

This is one of the best restaurants in Colorado Springs. The food is excellent, the service first rate, the desserts are to die for, the wine list reasonable and reliably good and the atmosphere is upscale bistro (except they should ditch the Kenny G style jazz background music). Prices are a terrific value for the quality. You can't go wrong choosing Marigold for lunch or dinner.
