“This ain't New York pizza”
Reviewed May 20, 2010

It's fine with me if you like this place, but I know New York pizza and this is nothing like New York pizza. Forget Borriello's too. You want New York pizza in Colorado Springs, try Joey's across from Chapel Hills Mall at 1829 Briargate Boulevard. The owner is from Suffolk County.

“I love the pizza here”
Reviewed January 16, 2010

I live in Colorado Springs and this is one of my local favorites. They are very friendly, and they offer subs, pizza, beer, salads, ect.

I always use the coupon on the website.

Basically this place beats the chains, the fru fru pizza places downtown, and is just a local, good pizza joint!

“Cool atmosphere, good NY-style pizza.”
Reviewed March 5, 2009

I've only been to New York once, so I couldn't tell you all the nuances about NY pizza that I'm told exist-but Leon Gessi's is pretty close to that pizza joint in Manhattan.

The pizza's really good, and I like the layout of the restaurant and think the pictures create a good atmosphere. It's very enjoyable, good for a smaller group or a cheap date with a friend. The place makes you feel good when you walk out. Highly recommended-it's up there with Borriello Brothers for the food and Fargo's for the unique atmosphere.

A close second to Boriello Brothers pizza but their sauce is sweeter and their crust is a little thicker. But they do have an all you can eat Tuesday night dinner which is worth trying.
