I have been going here for 25 years it was a much better place when the price wasn't outrageous! The experience is unlike any other if you get a guided tour. I strongly recommend this for family vacations or school field trips if you go in larger groups you can get a group discount I highly advise reservations as well. each building will show you exactly how things used to be done. A very neat experience over all.

What a wonderful way to explore Colorado roots and enjoy time being in the great outdoors. History is made fun, great sites to visit, and broad family appeal.

We learnt a lot about the history of life in 19th and 20th century Colorado Springs. The highlight of our visit was a guided tour around Rock Ledge House. The docents (volunteers) were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. We were especially impressed with Quinn (age 12) who was our enthusiastic guide at Rock Ledge House.
Be advised that there is a lot of walking to see the whole sight - so be aware in the hotter months!
The only disappointment was the American Indian Interpretive Area which, after an amazing trip to the Manitou Cliff Dwellings was a little boring. However, Sophie (6) liked it as she got to hunt for beads in the primitive shelter!
I would recommend this attraction as a worthwhile place to visit - at a reasonable cost ($8 for adults).

Great family outing. My daughter was a docent there several years. Committed workers and interesting exhibits.

There are many special events at the Rock Ledge Ranch every year; the best time to go is when these events are happening. The team does a great job of staying true an authentic to history-specific events (like the 4th of July celebrations) and they also make sure there are plenty of good craft and food vendors. We got a family membership and just love all the events. Can't wait for the Fall and Winter; those are the best!
