This is an extremely interesting place to visit -- even for a non-numismatist. They've upgraded their displays and presentation since I had previously visited. They have some very rare, interesting and valuable coins on display.

Brien's :30 Second review - This is coming from a pure Numismatist, and I really felt this place was extremely boring. Horrible set up, lack of enthusiasm from the staff, and terribly put together displays lead to the feeling wanting to leave and not waste another min. If your new to numismatics or curious about money, maybe you will find something to gravitate too. I would Pass this so called museum.

This is a well done museum. There is a section on the history of money since it's invention thousands of years ago, to today. Exhibits include both historical money examples from all over the world to a history of US coins and paper money along with exhibits of rare US coins. Very interesting.

They have a large section on money during the Civil War, and another section on the "history of money". Their prizes are a liberty dime (only 5 in existence) and a 1804 silver dollar. My only problem was that it was hard to see the items. The coins are small, my eyes are old. Still it's a good museum and if you think you're interested, give it a try. The $5 entry fee is reasonable.

I always like to see if any coins I have might be worth something, unfortunately none yet. I guess I'll have to go back and try again.
