“Wow.”
Reviewed October 24, 2013

My husband and I have reciprocity for many museums offered by NARM. We delighted in the exhibits, new and special, that were on display.

“Raising the bar with the Absurd”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

Generally speaking, I find theCSFAC underwhelming and with a feeling of sterility and stiffness unlike major museums I have visited worldwide. However, the current show of the ABSURD by Pamela Joseph is exceptionally interesting. it is unique and involves many levels of artistic expertise including interaction with the viewer. It is definitely a show for adults. The interactive aspects really make it come to life: the fabric that changes with movement ( this is in collaboraiton with tech experts at USC), the amazing "Fortune Teller" who seems to give personalized readings, the moving ducks ( use the crank) and the ball toss are quite amusing. This show is aimed at women;however men who love women will be seduced by aspects of it. Yes, this show has raised the expectation bar! I will see it again. Pamela Joseph is an artist to admire. This show is there into early January 2014.

“Lovely spot, dining not so much”
Reviewed September 16, 2013

Our friends took us to the Fine Arts Center for lunch . . the facility is lovely and we were seated outside on the terrace for lunch. So far, so good. The lunch offerings sounded delicious, but once delivered to our table, that's where it turned sour. My husband's soup, as he described it was, "dishwater with corn in it" and our friend's entree . . totally cold . . it was supposed to be. My entree and our friend's was very tasty (Cuban sandwich) however, served on a very small roll, difficult to eat. On the plus side, the french fries were out of this world.

“An Artistic Eye”
Reviewed September 7, 2013

What a enjoyable Saturday afternoon. We strolled through the museum taking in the artwork of the southwest as well as the numerous Chihully glass exhibits.
A wonderful relaxing way to let go of the hustle and bustle of my everyday life.
