I enjoyed the tour of the Olympic Training Center. We saw athletes in training, at work and at play. The gift shop has a bargain rack [ask for it] and the campus of the Center is well decorated with Olympic memorabilia. Take a look inside the "room" on the steps up from the visitor center to the athletes' living area. Some great quotations are carved into the wall. Then turn around and look at the training pool and the gymnasiums, stop in at the US Shooting offices at 1 Olympic Plaza and watch international athletes practicing and competing. Look in the windows of the training rooms and see gigantic wrestlers, petite gymnists and tall volleyball players. Then remember, these are just ordinary U.S. teenagers and young adults who have given up living at home and come to this mecca of sports improvement. Ask about the library and the mental training that goes on there. Anybody can benefit from a visit, whether you are an athlete or a parent or an old guy who appreciates people who work towards a goal.

Guide was excellent and knew about all areas of the facility. There was a lot of construction going on when we were there but still worth the time. Loved the short movie prior to tour.

It's a good place to visit on a snowy cold day. There are some displays, show, and Olympic gift shop. It's a good start to introduce young children to the history of US Olympics.

If you are in the area. Very few big time olympic athletes stay here for any length of time. The place was over crowded with high school camps while we were there in Aug 2012. The big names train on their own at home. The highlight is the film at the beginning. Most of the facilities are no better than major college campuses. The place is a PR wing of the U.S. Olympics.
