This zoo was splendid, definitely enjoyed the Giraffes and the sky lift (its worth the extra 4 dollars I promise). They take great care of their animals and they zoo is clean and a very fun half day trip. Probably the best zoo I've ever been to!

I enjoyed every minute at this zoo, about ten days ago. It is neat and clean. The exhibits are very nice, and most of them are unique. I was able to feed the giraffes, on their level, and have never been able to do that at any other zoo. The zebras are beautiful. They have many animals, and they look very healthy and well taken care of. It is a hilly zoo, so I get a lot of exercise walking around there, although their are golf carts to take you up the hills if you so desire. Almost everywhere in the zoo, if you look one way you see the animals, and if you look the other way, you see the plains of Colorado, and the skyline of Colorado Springs. The views are spectacular and be sure to bring your camera. They have a "Sky Ride" going over many parts of the zoo, and the view from up there is of course amazing. We watched an elephant have a physical exam and a bath, and the instructor was very good with telling us all that was going on. It is a wonderful zoo, and I hope to go back soon.

v ery small zoo, but nice. take the golf cart ride for the $2.00. i think they charge way too much for how small it was. takes about 2 hrs.. to go through it. get to feed the giraffes, ahnd get up close to the grizzly bears.

The zoo is built into the side of the mountain and is just spectacular. The collection of animals is impressive. There is an all-day $2.00 fee tram if needed. The layout is well thought-out and you hardly realize that you're climbing a mountain. Parking is free. You can see and access the Will Rogers monument at a much higher elevation. Beautiful views below. Bring food and drink or buy on-site.

the zoo is a mountain zoo which has a lot of hills. it's a good zoo. it's always too bad when animals are sort of hidden...but, the ones we could see were great....they have an original carousel and a chair lift ride up the mountains....very beautiful view.
