CM Zoo is the highest zoo in the country if not the globe... This is well worth the drive and several hours for an in-your-face visit with the typical exotics and an emphasis on regional wildlife. The exhibits are steadily upgraded, there's a new sky tram where you can ride over the exhibits. This place is a surprising interpretation of the old idea and really shouldn't be missed particularly if you have kids. Don't forget to tour the Shrine of the Sun if you come here!!!!

The giraffe feeding experience is simply amazing. Kids and adults alike love it and the giraffes are very gentle. What we really loved about the zoo was it was as though you were walking through their natural habitat. We paid extra for the penguin encounter and it was worth every penny. We went in the feeding pen and fed the penguins, learned their names and who their mates were. My son was thrilled.

We went there as part of an afternoon excursion during a business trip. I loved how this zoo is set onto the side of the mountain and has a smaller, quaint feeling to it. Can't wait to take my kids here and see the interactive giraffe section where they can feed them lettuce!

I had not been back for 8 years. Very impressed with the growth and still a great way to spend the day

This zoo is ok. I like it better than the pueblo zoo, but it is not better then the denver zoo, which is the better one. It has a lot of up hill walking which is a pain. And sometimes not all the animals are there it seems. It is cute though for a little zoo. Something to do. Food is a bit pricey there and admission is a bit high for what u get.
