“Clean and Comfortable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2014

We had a queen handicapped studio. It was perfect. Large room with full kitchen, living room and bed tucked in at the side. Large bathroom with plenty of space. The room was very clean. I thought the carpet was new. Breakfast was awesome with hot and cold choices. Evening dinner Mon.- Wed. was an added bonus. We first night we had chicken southwest salad . They have a salad bar with about six topping to choose from. Beer, wine, and soft drinks were free. They also had chips and salsa, fruit, and pudding. Next night was Manager's Toast which turned out to be salad bar, meats and cheeses, chips and salsa, crackers, fruit and vegetables tray with dips and brownies. We took chips and salsa back to the room to snack on while watching TV. Would definitely stay again.

We recently stayed at this hotel in a large 2 bedroom, 2 bath suite. We requested a room on the top floor in a quiet location, and that is exactly what we got. While you could hear some noise from the hallway, it was not enough to be particularly bothersome, especially since both bedrooms are located away from the room’s entry door. This hotel is in a very quiet location and we heard absolutely NO noise from outside of the hotel. While almost all of the suite was very clean, we did have an issue with one of the toilets having a dirty rim, which wasn’t very pleasant. One odd thing that we noted was that there were no luggage racks in the room to set your suitcases on. There really wasn’t a good place to set the suitcases, so we ended up having to place them on the floor. The staff members that we encountered were all friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was very nice with a good variety of items and even two waffle makers! We would definitely consider staying at this hotel again if we find ourselves in Colorado Springs.

We stayed at the Residence Inn Colorado Springs for a week and it exceeded our expectations. First, we stayed in a 2 bedroom with a full kitchen. The kitchen appliances worked well. The rooms were comfortable and the main living area was spacious and came with a fireplace (didn't really need it in the day but it was nice to have early am and late at night). The beds were comfortable, bathrooms clean and housekeeping service was very good.

Other features: the laundry room was on the 2nd floor and there were enough washers and dryers that we never had any problems doing multiple loads. You just need quarters to use.

What we liked most about this hotel was the daily breakfast and Monday-Wednesday free dinner with drinks. They served it in the lobby which was more like a large comfortable living room/dining room. It was a very nice place to gather in the mornings and evenings. Our kids (13-14 year old) would hang out there in the evenings away from the parents (which the kids liked). They also provided, golf clubs, basketball and raquets, etc. to use to play outside on their putting green, and outdoor court. And finally, the staff from the front desk to housekeeping were very friendly and helpful.

The location worked well it was just off the I-25 so it made travel to the Air Force Academy as well as other locations in Colorado Springs very convenient.

I highly recommend the Residence Inn Colorado Springs on Federal.

Room Tip: If you stay on the first floor (low number rooms, 100-104 etc) it's very easy to go in and out f...

We stayed here on a recent trip to Colorado Springs. We got the two bedroom suite and the it was incredibly spacious: two separate bedrooms, two separate bathrooms, a living room and a "real" kitchen/dinette area. Absolutely great for a family. Everything was clean and well-kept. I think it is a relatively new property, so there was nothing about the room or the decor that was outdated or tired. The breakfast was just fine, pretty typical for this type of place. My son enjoyed swimming in the indoor pool. Check-in went smoothly, front desk staff was pleasant. Parking was ample and free. The only thing that might be a downside - and to be honest this is what we knew or expected going in to it - is that you are really out on the suburban fringe here. There is really nowhere that you are going to walk to from this hotel, just a few suburban office buildings. There are a few chain restaurants that are close by, but again, it is not really a "walkable" area. But if you are just looking for a comfortable place for the family to spend the night and fuel up on breakfast in the morning before heading out, you can't go wrong here. Bonus that it is very close to Air Force Academy if you are going to be spending time there, and really not too far to Garden of the Gods or downtown Col Springs/Manitou Springs by freeway.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the top floor - we were on the second floor and could really hear people in the ro...

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at this fine hotel for over 40 days as we transitioned from Colorado Springs to Tucson. The hotel is relatively new and is spotless. Everything is kept extremely fresh and clean. Although the actual building and facilities are very nice, we can not say enough nice things about the staff, especially Sarah. Sarah is the manager who works most days. She is extremely friendly, competent, and follows through on all conversations. During a stay of this length, it is typical to have 1 or 2 minor issues arise but the important thing is how the hotel reacts to these events. In all cases, Sarah addressed our questions immediately and completely. She is one of the very best hotel managers that we have had the pleasure of meeting. Additional staff who went well above expectations were the ladies who coordinated the breakfast and evening receptions. Even though several large groups stayed at the hotel during our tenure, these people did not miss a beat - keeping all food hot, fresh, and well stocked. We would highly recommend this hotel to all our friends and family. Finally, the selection of food and drinks at all meals is outstanding. I like a Pepsi or Coke to get my going in the morning and the ladies in charge of these meals always had the soda fountain turned on. OUTSTANDING SERVICE.

Room Tip: ALL rooms should be nice as the hotel is far enough away from the interstate to be quiet.

This was a great place to stay for functions at the Air Force Academy or anything in northern Colorado. Free breakfast, free internet, clean and small mini-kitchen (microwave, toaster, cofee maker and refrigerator). Small pool and fitness center - but never had any problems getting in.

I've stayed at several hotel locations in Colorado Springs, and this was definitely my favorite. The rooms are large, clean, and well worth the price. Everyone on staff was very helpful, and always willing to stop what they were doing to answer a question. Anytime I needed something in the in-room kitchen, I found it. I travel for extended periods of time, and I felt that this hotel was very accommodating for that. The closets (there were two in the room) were both large. I especially enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and barbecue area. I did not personally use this while I was a guest, but on a return trip to Colorado Springs I was invited to a cook out at the Residence Inn. A friend's boss was staying at the Residence Inn while relocating and hosted several of us for the night. The hotel apparently helped him with serving utensils, cookware, etc.. I would have given this property 5 stars but I was on the 2nd floor next to what appeared to be the cooling unit for the hotel. Every time it came on my floors vibrated a bit. Otherwise it was a completely enjoyable experience .

Room Tip: My only recommendation is that you request a room above the 2nd floor. If you're on the second f...
