“Great RV Resort”
Reviewed May 24, 2013

This was a really nice RV park that is well maintained and continually monitored. This park is a great location to travel to all the activities Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs has to offer. I would give it five stars if our site did not continually smell of sewer. It was a shame that we could not sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. Hopefully this was just this particular site. Will definitely recommend and stay again!

It looks like my earlier concerns about this RV park have been addressed. The new owners of this park have built a nice fence where the posts used to be that allow you to see the hiking/bike path and creek. According to emails I've received, the campground has been refreshed with new landscaping and redecorated facilities. I get the motoryhome dewinterized next week and this campground will be the first place we visit. The location is perfect and I enjoy the Mexican restaurant that is right across the street!

The campground has a Facebook page and they respond to your comments.

We stayed here two nights at the end of May in one of their camper cabins. It was cute and clean. The restrooms/shower houses were clean and had hot water which made it nice on the cool mountain mornings. There is plenty to do after a long day if your not tired out. Otherwise we enjoyed just sitting on the porch and winding down. The staff that greets you are very friendly and helpful. Planning on staying again in the future.

Room Tip: For just a little more $$ rent one of their sleeper cabins vs. using a tent. It is well worth it!!

Spots are a little tight/close together. Otherwise, this campground was just wonderful! Clean comfort station, nice laundry facilities, pleasant people, and plenty of amenities. We were even invited to a camper's BBQ one evening. The other visitors were also very friendly. Close to Manitou Springs and varous tourist attractions... We'll visit this location again!

This is a nice campground in a good location. Very clean grounds and restrooms. They had excellent barbecue offered by an outside vendor for $ 7 a plat in a nice area available with picnic tables. We would stay here again.

Because we had pleasant memories of several previous camping experiences here (~10 years ago and ~15 years ago), we made a point of finding this campground on a return visit to Colorado Springs this summer. We had another great camping experience here and felt that everything was well maintained. One of the most important pluses is that the restrooms were modern and very clean. We were there over the 4th of July and loved the pancake breakfast--another event we remembered from our other trips. The campground is large and spacious but situated in a location with easy access to tourist attractions in the area. We would definitely stay there again and recommend it to others looking for a site in the vicinity of Colorado Springs.

We were returning from a camping trip along the continental divide and the location for this campground just worked out. The AAA listing also worked into out decision. We elected to try their cabins instead of pitching our tent. For only $10 more it was a good deal.

The cabin was hot and stuffy when we first walked in, but with the door and windows open it was ok in an hour or so. We took that time to shower (clean, convenient) and take a swim in the adult pool across the driveway from our cabin.

The kids that were outside playing were nowhere to be heard by about 9:00 pm. The bed squeaked like crazy, but eventually we stopped noticing and fell asleep. A fan helped. There is no AC.

Nice, friendly staff who encouraged us to write a trip adviser review even before she heard how much we liked the stop.
