“Unmemorable meal”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

When we walked in, we almost had to pinch our noses. It smelled like a nail salon! Don't know if it was from the beauty shop next door or newly installed carpet or what. Not a good start.

We started with a cheese dip which looked and tasted like melted Velveeta. Yuck. My daughter had a kid's burrito, which she barely ate; my son had two fried tacos which he devoured. I had the chicken flautas which were quite good, but would have been bland without the lettuce and sauces on top. Margarita was very nice. I'd give them another shot if we were back in town.

“Great Mexican Food and Locally Owned”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

When traveling we always seek out locally owned establishments to find unique foods that are reflective of the city and area. Knowing this my sister recommended this restaurant. We ordered the chicken fajitas. The chicken was moist and the vegetables were cooked well. They were served with 4 small tortillas which was plenty for us to share. The server was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was neat and clean. We will come here again when we're in town.

“Wonderful Food”
Reviewed August 4, 2012

We stumbled on this place and were so impressed we went back a second time. The food was very authentic not American Mexican. The barbacoa is great and so were the tortas. The Mexican drinks(Horchata,Jamaica & Tamarindo) were all very good. This will definitely be a stop each trip to Colorado Springs.

“Some of the best Mexican food around!”
Reviewed June 28, 2012

We looked on Yelp for a good, local Mexican restaurant, and this one got some good reviews. So we sought it out. No disappointment! The food was probably the best we've had in a very long time. All the ingredients were fresh.

It is a family business: the daughter works tables, the Mom works the bar, and the Dad is the owner and chef. Everyone was exceptionally nice, which was a bonus. But go there for the food!

The atmosphere has a ways to go. The owner bought this when it was a Japanese restaurant, so there are still some remnants of Asian decor. But that was minor! Go for the food!

“Outstanding Mexican Food”
Reviewed May 29, 2012

The best. Friendly service. Delicious sauces. Fresh and amazingly light mexican fare. Great house Margaritas. Was there for dinner and couldn't stay away the next day for lunch. Have dined there several times and never been disappointed.
