We stumbled upon this place after finding out the restaurant we originally wanted to go to was closed. It was a wonderful meal! The flavors were amazing, reminding us of our trip to Spaiin several years ago. The service was friendly and fun. They answered all our questions and helped us navigatte the menu. By the time we left, we felt like old friends! Definitely will return!

Lured by the wonderful smells from the kitchen and the menu by the door, we stopped here for lunch a few days ago. TAPAteria did not disappoint. We started with the stuffed piquillo peppers and the garlic mushrooms. Oh, my. Such intense flavors. We followed that with merguez lamb sausage and chorizo and figs. Wow. The dishes are small but rich and filling--the two of us were quite full after these four dishes and a carafe of sangria. The sangria was decent but did not match the standard of our homemade version (we've yet to see a restaurant sangria that comes close to the America's Test Kitchen recipe). In sum, this place is well worth a visit, good value for money if you like tapas and Spanish cooking.

This place is average and certainly not worth the price. The microwave in the front room isn't used on every dish but you see it being used and certain dishes certainly taste that way. The pork was almost too dry to eat. Saffron is on everything, no need for that as it affects texture when it shouldn't. Can't compare this to other tapas places near COS but not what I've had elsewhere.

I have been to this place twice; the first time for lunch and today for dinner. The bartender tonight seemed more concerned with serving shots to the staff, than serving the customers in the restaurant. Considering the price, it was very disappointing.

I apologize that you were disappointed with TAPAteria. As you can see from our other reviews, the vast majority of our customers are very satisfied. Since we do not allow employees to drink shots on or off duty and I, as General Manager, am almost always the bartender, I am curious how you came to this perception and would love to talk to you more about it so we can avoid similar situations in future. Thanks, Jay, Exec Chef/GM, 719-471-8272.

We found this place on a Google search for gluten free restaurants in the area and were extremely pleased. All menu items are gluten free and with about 15 tables it's a very lovely setting. We have been to several other Tapa style restaurants and found this one give almost twice the portion size than others. The presentation was wonderful and enjoyed every bite and new tastes to tickle your tongue. They have outdore patio seating, but only during the warmer months... We will be returing with frinds and visiting family, what a wonderful find!
