“Somewhat small room but the beds are terrific”
Reviewed August 14, 2012

We use Hilton chain as much as we can when we travel (my fave is Embassy Suites but was too far out of the area). Reason we stayed here because of it's proximity to what we had planned for + many many restaurants, shops, stores, bars within walking distance. Requested an early check in & received it. Check in was quick & painless. Beds were so comfy but room is smaller than other hilton hotel rooms we stayed in-not comparing to Embassy which is part of Hilton. There are spots that need "touching up" in the bathroom (small peel paints on door & chipped wood along bathroom baseboards-you can't help but see these things while you know) enjoyed the pool/hot tub & room service for the 3 of us was delicious & plentiful (loved the variety of health foods). Sunday brunch looked INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS but had already ate. Ample comfy lobby seating with the ambiance of warmth, privacy & seclusion. Staff were quick, professional & cheerful with our requests throughout our 4 day stay. Had nightcap in restaurant & service was slow & waitress was not so cordial. Waitress was alone, place was busy (Saturday night) & it showed on her face. Overall a great stay.

We planned a little family getaway in the springs to hit the Cheyenne Mtn Zoo and North Pole. We arrived at the hotel to check into a beautiful room overlooking the Mtns. Headed to the Zoo and returned tired and hungry from a long day. The bellman was quick to recommend a few great restaurants within walking distance that were family friendly with GOOD food. We had the perfect evening! We came back and enjoyed dessert while sitting in the garden in front of the hotel. A nice way to end the night. We got upearly and hit the pool before packing up. We enjoyed the best Sunday Brunch before departing the following day. Two thumbs up to the Pastry Chef! The location, staff and hotel were awesome!

It is with great pleasure that we read your review, and learning that we created an enjoyable getaway for your family makes us very happy. Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and the Santa's Workshop, North Pole are both great family destinations and we hope you made some lasting family memories. It certainly sounds as if your stay encompassed many of the aspects that make our hotel so wonderful and we look forward to welcoming your family back very soon. Thank you.

The bad outweighed the good:

Good: the staff is helpful and friendly and the lobby is pretty. The location -- walking distance to restaurants -- is hard to beat. The buffet breakfast is good.

Bad: the rooms are small, worn out, and "motel six-ish". The closet is tiny and has no light, the bottom of my bathroom door has begun to rot, the shower (no tub) is tiny, and the bathroom itself is so small that if someone opens the door when you are on the toilet, your knees get whacked. I expect better from Hilton.

As the only full service hotel in downtown Colorado Springs, we are thrilled you found getting to area restaurants easy. For future stays, we have a variety of room types available and our staff members are available to assist with any room requests you may have, including one that includes a tub. It is my hope that our guests reach out to us with any issues they may have and it appears we did not have the opportunity to address your comments while you were here. We hope to welcome you back to experience our hotel again and renew your trust in the Hilton brand and us.

We chose the Antlers Hilton over several other options in the area and were extremely disappointed with our choice.

We called on Saturday to see if we could have an early check-in. We were told that 2pm would be available. When we showed up, we were advised that the room would not be ready for over an hour. The front desk did not offer anything as an apology. A simple, "Have a drink on us while you wait," would have sufficed. Our room was finally ready at 3:15, after the posted check-in time.

Our room was certainly not what I am accustomed to from Hilton. The air conditioning barely worked. There were holes in the carpeting. The decor was extremely outdated. The bathtub drain would not stay open. The hair dryer was missing its safety cover and was clogged with lint.

The workout room had several issues. We tried to use it at 4pm on Saturday, but the room was so hot that we could not. At that time of day, the sun shines in the west windows of the hotel. Most of the blinds in the workout room were broken, so you could not block the sun. The air conditioning could not keep up with the heat. The recumbent bike was out of order. Three out of six treadmill televisions were inop. Three out of four elliptical televisions were inop. The televisions that did work only received 5 or 6 channels. A plastic container of disinfectant wipes sat empty on a counter.

One of the reasons we chose this hotel was for the indoor pool. Yet another disappointment. The heater and pump were not functioning. The pool was cloudy and cold. Most likely not safe either, since the pump wasn't circulating the water for cleaning. The hot tub was too low on water and the walls were slimy.

I advised the front desk of several of our issues, which seemed to fall upon deaf ears. There are many other options in the Colorado Springs area. The Antlers should compete with the Broadmoor and the Cheyenne Mountain Resort. Unfortunately, this hotel rated well below any hotel of that caliper.

Room Tip: Ask for room away from elevators, ice machine, staff closet. Don't stay on 2nd floor, as guests...

Came to Colorado Springs for a week on business travel. I stayed at the HIlton Antlers; it is located downtown and right next to the freeway; easy on and easy off. Room is well equipped, but wifi is not free unless you are on ATT and then you can sign in for free. The Bar and Grill downstairs, Judge Baldwins is a quaint micro-brewery that serves great beer. the food is good as well. I tried the '90 Schilling Ale', a dark, almost like a Sam Adams or Killians Red. The beer was pretty damn good. All in the all, the service, attitude and atmosphere is delightful. Also, for you GYM buff's. they have a superbly equiiped fitness center. they had kettle balls, machines and mat's. I study Aikido and it was nice to see that they had full mats, medicine balls and kettle balls to work out with.

Room Tip: the 7th floor was nice, good view, not too close to the xpsway and so the noise is not bad. i would...

My husband and I recently stayed at the Antlers Hilton and only have nice things to say. The service was outstanding throughout the hotel. Our king bed was super comfortable with luxury linens and pillows. We enjoyed delicious, hot breakfasts with cook to order omelettes in the hotel restaurant. There is also a fun pub in the hotel where we had drinks and appetizers with some friends. We really enjoyed soaking in the hot tub in the evenings. Another plus, is the downtown location. It is awesome to be able to walk to restaurants, shops, bars, and theaters. I would highly recommend this hotel and we will definately be back!

I paid over $150 dollars a night for this pos. The Valets are very nice during the day, and the lobby is lovely, however the rooms are atrocious. They are old and very run down. Valet is not available in the evening, you have to bring the key to the front desk where two men sit, yes sit, while you hand them your key. On a plus, the towels are fluffy and the shower heads are strong.
