Service, food, taste of food and price were all great. You will not be disappointed. We had taquitos fresh guacamole, green chili burrito, beans, salsa and chips followed by flan shooters.

“The right spice”
Reviewed May 28, 2014

My wife is from Mexico, so we eat (awesome) Mexican food a lot. So when we eat out at a Mexican restaurant, it should be quite tasty. This place gets it right. Great chips, good salsa, wonderful dishes. The ambiance is good. Nice touch to have water cascading down two separate walls. The owners work there, and are friendly. Maybe that's just the reason this has become our favorite Mexican restaurant in the Springs.

“Best American Mex in town”
Reviewed April 29, 2014

El Padrino consistently serves tasty food, big portions, served hot from the oven. Servers are attentive and pleasant. Service is quick. House margaritas are inexpensive and tasty. Chips and salsa are endless and gratis. The owner/manager invariably comes to the table, and recognizes his regular customers. Our go-to place for Mexican food.

“Excellent”
Reviewed April 26, 2014

Can't say enough. Met on the way in by the owner. Excellent and well informed service by our waiter. The food was great and the flavors were complex and interesting - nothing bland or generic. Our son had tacos. cooked in an interesting (and secret) way. (Which I am not giving it up). I ordered off menu with no pushback whatsoever. Very good atmosphere and attitude throughout. Highly recommended.

“Not your average Mexican Restaurant”
Reviewed April 3, 2014 via mobile

We had lunch at El Padrino and were pleasantly surprised by the high quality if the main dishes. My wife had chicken fajitas. They were noticeably better than we normally see. The chicken was tender and nicely sliced. The red and green peppers and the red onions were sauteed very nicely. My pork and avocado burrito was a treat. The cuts of pork were flawless, and the avocado made the burrito much lighter than normal. I'd recommend either of these.
We're looking forward to returning.
