“Wow”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

Did the 7 course chefs menu with win pairing. Not cheap ($200 + tax/tip) but was it ever good. So much food and the wines were brilliantly paired with each course by the Sommelier. Crab bisque and the elk were definitely the highlights. Friday and Saturday night they have live music which is really good. And the French style service was a real experience.
It is not cheap, and there are other options other than the chefs menu. But I would recommend at least one meal there during your stay at the Broadmoor.
Note, it is fairly formal dress. Men need a jacket. Women should wear nice evening dress.

“True Five Star Experience”
Reviewed July 11, 2013

This is not a "Yahoo rated" five star restaurant. The Penrose Room is the only Five Star rated restaurant in much of the Western States. You will be required to dress up. Something many in Colorado have forgotten. However, like other reviews have mentioned the food is exquisite, service is choreographed to perfection and the attention to detail, precise.

“The most complex and decadent experience in the entire state of Colorado!!!!”
Reviewed June 19, 2013

The only true grass roots multi coarse fine dinning experience in the State.
If you have to ask how much than you should probably dine somewhere else. Be prepared, and ask the concierge to give you an idea this is not a bill you want to be caught off guard with however its worth double every penny spent!!!!

“Fancy Fancy Fancy”

Have a wonderful dinner while overlooking Colorado Springs. This is a fancy place with fancy prices but you're treated like royalty from the moment you walk in. Dress up and enjoy!

“Broadmoor Resort Dining”
Reviewed June 5, 2013

The Penrose Room sits on the top floor of the Broadmoor's south tower. It offers fine dining with one of the best views in Colorado Springs. The presentation is incredible and even the wait service is carefully choreographed. Food is what you would expect from a five star restaurant but what really makes the meal are the little extras the chef sends out. Music and dancing tops off the experience. Try and get a table in the alcove by the west windows for dinner. You will have a great vantage point from which to etch the sun set. Exit out the back (west) and stroll around the lake before you head back to valet to retrieve your car.
