This campground is close in Colorado Springs but far enough away from it all. We had a great big site with a shaded firepit, picnic table, full hook ups, and cable. It was easy to back in and level. They really have done nice landscaping and thought into their sites. The bathrooms and showers are nice and clean. The playground was fun for my kids. They were disappointed in the game room. Two pin ball machines were out of order and the pool table was kind of broken. Also the hot tub was not working so two amenties the kids looked forward to that we didn't get to use. But the kids road their bikes, walked on the trails, and played at the playground. There was an ice cream social and that was fun. Bring a dollar and your own bowl and spoon for some ice cream. We drove a half hour down the road to fish at Brush Hollow Reservoir and that was okay. Didn't catch anything but fun for the kids. My cell phone was hit or miss throughout. Wi-fi and cable worked great! We were able to get firewood and ice in the store. There is a dog area here too and all dog owners were well behaved. :) The only wildlife we saw were birds and deer. The deer will just come right up into your site! I know there are bears though so careful planning for that. This campground was very nice and clean, we will come back again.
