“Very nice and clean”
Reviewed May 28, 2013

This campground is close in Colorado Springs but far enough away from it all. We had a great big site with a shaded firepit, picnic table, full hook ups, and cable. It was easy to back in and level. They really have done nice landscaping and thought into their sites. The bathrooms and showers are nice and clean. The playground was fun for my kids. They were disappointed in the game room. Two pin ball machines were out of order and the pool table was kind of broken. Also the hot tub was not working so two amenties the kids looked forward to that we didn't get to use. But the kids road their bikes, walked on the trails, and played at the playground. There was an ice cream social and that was fun. Bring a dollar and your own bowl and spoon for some ice cream. We drove a half hour down the road to fish at Brush Hollow Reservoir and that was okay. Didn't catch anything but fun for the kids. My cell phone was hit or miss throughout. Wi-fi and cable worked great! We were able to get firewood and ice in the store. There is a dog area here too and all dog owners were well behaved. :) The only wildlife we saw were birds and deer. The deer will just come right up into your site! I know there are bears though so careful planning for that. This campground was very nice and clean, we will come back again.

The spots are great. The park is clean. The staff is beyond friendly. Very family friendly and the kids are begging to go back. Out of town enough to feel like you are away from it all but close enough to quickly get to all the attractions of Colorado Springs. LOVED IT!

I don't think there was a bad spot in this park, which I can rarely say! It was about 25 minutes outside of Colorado Springs bit well worth the extra drive. They have put thought and pride into their sites. All sites are spacious and level. If we are in the area again we will definitely stay here again! Bathrooms and showers were nice and clean as well!

Good WiFi at the park but no cell phone coverage, but that makes it a great place to get away!

The campsite is great, the staff were fantastic and I have never seen cleaner facilities at a campsite before.

We camped at the end in T4 and were far enough away from the main site it almost felt like wild camping, which is what we wanted. No RV generator noise, etc. - they do have sites closer to the toilets, etc if you wanted though.

Ice cream social was fun and free breakfast on a sunday. Winner.

Many of the campsites nearer the Royal Gorge were not in great shape and not nearly as picturesque a location. Only a 45 minute drive to the Gorge.

Since we needed both an RV resort and a cabin, we choose Mountaindale. The resort itself is very nice, but the cabin left a lot to be desired. It was way too small for the 6 of us and was able to sleep 11! No table and chairs inside, picnic table for 4 outside which was in the sun except for the morning. The fulton in main room would seat 3. Very small kitchen area and small bathroom. Also needed a cleaning.
However the people were nice, we reserved the lounge for our meals. Bath house and all the other facilities were clean and nice.
Advise you to find a motel instead of one of the cabins.

This is a very nice RV Resort. The sites are quite spacious and private. We had been evacuated from our home due to a wild fire and most of the RV parks were filled. We were sent here and it really was a nice facility. The problem is they have no phone service and no on site TV, which was a problem since our home was still in danger. We only stayed one night. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful mountain campground, this is definitely the place to go.

We stayed at Mountaindale Rv Park in Oct. 2011. It was great, beautiful, and quiet. Each site was very pretty and our site was large with plenty of picnic space. Deer came right up to the park. The people were very friendly too. Only down side to staying here is that it is a little far from all the Colorado Springs attractions- which is what we were there to see. We would stay here next trip to CO. Loved it!
