“Highlight of our Colorado trip even in freezing weather”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

We have never visited Colorado Springs and coming from the east coast, we knew that the cold weather might limit our experiences. However, these stables were more than we expected. My three children (ages 7 - 12) LOVED this place and would not stop talking about this experience for the rest of our vacation. Even back at home, they still are raving about it.

We didn't have a four wheel drive car so they came to pick us up from our hotel. The ride up was wonderful and breathtaking. The driver was the owner and he was absolutely amazing - all his experiences and knowledge was fascinating.

When we arrived, Laurie had a smile waiting for us. We were able to look around the ranch - there were elk and buffalo on their property. And beautiful horses and friendly pets. It was quiet, and we were the only ones riding at this time, and it was perfect! We did the 1 hour ride since it was only 9F degrees up in the mountains at 8000 ft above sea level. We each got our own horse, and took a beautiful ride through the forest in the moutains. Eve, our guide, was friendly, knowledgeable and wonderful. My kids loved being able to ride the horses on their own. One hour was perfect for me and my husband, but my kids could have done this all day.

It was definitely the highlight of our trip. We are coming back to Colorado in the summer and we will definitely go back.

Wonderful place. Couldn't recommend it enough!

Absolutely a wonderful morning spent on horseback in the mountains. We saw elk, buffalo and deer. The guide was excellent and the views were magnificent.

“Great choice!”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

We decided to come here after seeing the lack of negative reviews, and it was obvious why there were none! The girls were super friendly and the horses were great. It was our first time in Colorado (me, my husband, and my parents) and we wanted to do something memorable - and this was it! There was only one other family on the tour with us (visiting from Ireland!), and the trail was great fun. We stopped to take pics about 3/4 of the way through and they were more than happy to take as many as we wanted. We took the 3 hour ride, definitely some 'exciting' terrain for those not frequently on horseback (the horses know what they're doing - just let them do their thing), but be aware that your legs will be stiff!! Would absolutely come back and recommend to anyone!

“Beautiful Forest Ride!”
Reviewed November 19, 2012

This stables is located above the Broadmoor on Old Stage Road in a beautiful forested area. Plenty of shade and interesting things to see along the ride including a very old water transport system and stunning views of rock formations. Breathtaking!
