This is a fantastic, free couple of hours. We were fortunate to have some unusually warm weather in November for a quick, but memorable walk through before going to the airport. It was beautiful! We have come to Colorado Springs from time to time over the last 20 years and we always try to take a walk through Garden of the Gods. If you've seen it from afar and think it might be boring just walking among the rocks, just try it once; you might be surprised and if you don't like it, at least you'll be close to some nice restaurants in Manitou Springs afterwards.

This is an easy day hike with beautiful red rock formations. If you are in a wheelchair, most of the trail is accessible & it would be a nice outdoor trip.

Nice place to hike or drive from area to area. The visitor center had some very interesting items and extremely helpful people. Even quizzed them on some other local attractions we were contemplating. Rock formations were fantastic, got some wonderful pictures. Not ready for the weather as it turned on us this day so we drove from area to area and walked less than usual.

Although not as dramatic as Bryce National Park, Garden of the Gods is worth a visit. Located around 1 hour south of Denver off Hwy 25, it's an easy destination. The 20 minute video presentation in the Visitors Center at the park entrance is $5 per person and well worth the money. There are a number of paved trails and leashed dogs are allowed. Cafes are located in the Visitors Center and the Trading Post - mediocre but convenient.

Loved the views, photos are a great opportunity, every day and every time of day or weather condition leave you with a great feeling in your heart....fun part is to count the number of visitors taking their photo holding up the balanced rock...Superman style.
