“Get out of your car!!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2013

It is easy to find parking and the walkways are very even and nicely paved, so go ahead and get out of your car and walk through at least a portion of Garden of the Gods!!! The rock formations are amazing and it is fun for young kids to image what the shapes could be. My kids loved watching the rock climbers and even doing some boulder scrambling on some of the smaller boulders.

“Trading Post is fabulous”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 11, 2013

The Garden of the Gods is an incredible place. Hiking, biking, photography, climbing. There is not a city park like it in the States. Additionally, the Trading Post inside the park provides a great atmosphere for shopping and eating. The staff is friendly, the views are special, and they have some great purchases available. The burgers are also very good.

“Nature's Wonder”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 9, 2013

We live eight miles from the Garden of the Gods. We visit it frequently, sometimes taking our lunch there or getting something to eat at the Trading Post inside the Garden.

This is a free site. There are plenty of parking areas and lots of pull off spots for those who want to take photos -- and you will be taking photos. This is one of those amazing geological wonders that people travel across the country to see. There are picnic areas, lots of hiking trails, and it is legal to climb the formations after getting clearance from the park rangers.

There are also outfits offering horseback rides through the Garden. The weather during your visit will probably be great as Colorado Springs gets over 300 days of sunshine a year, very little rain, and much less snow than the rest of Colorado. So enjoy the ride.

The Trading Post inside the Garden has excellent buffalo burgers along with lots of other sandwiches, sodas, and beer. There is also a Starbucks inside. The Post has a lot of tourist tat, of course, but it also sells great fudge and has a section of hoodies and hats, etc. that are high quality and a wonderful art section dominated by Native American art and artists.

Go out the back way and you are in Manitou Springs, a wonderful village that nestles against the mountains full of unique shops, restaurants, and the entrance to the road up Pikes Peak.

“Gotta see it”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 7, 2013

This is a must see in Colorado Springs. It's a beautiful natural area gifted to the people by a landowner in 1909. Watching the climbers scale the cliffs is interesting too. The Visitor Center has yummy fudge.
