I visited here with a day tour from Denver. I was pleasantly surprised by the beauty of its natural setting at the foothills of the Front Range/Rocky Mountains Range. Lots of fresh air and nice mountain breeze. The facilities are quite interesting to visit - for instance, our tour guide let us into the gym and sports facilities on the academy grounds (not sure if they always open to the public). The church is also a wonderful place to visit for its architectural merits (even for those who are not religious). Finally, it has a nice gift shop as well at the visitor centre.

Visit the Air Force commissioning college…beautiful views, historic buildings, and a chance to witness where Air Force cadets get their first taste of service. Admission is free, although there are some security requirements (it is a gated community after all)! A must stop on your way through Colorado Springs!

Beautiful campus and very inspiring. Take time to visit and be thankful for all of our servicemen. With all of the great outdoors things in and around the Springs be sure to put this on your list.

We stopped by to visit on our last day in Colorado Springs and were so glad we didn't skip this. A local had recommended that if we went to try and go around 11-11:30 so that we could watch the lunchtime formation. We got the bonus of also getting to see and hear the Air Force Academy Marching Band!!

After watching both we went inside Cadet Chapel and were just amazed by it's beauty. Would highly recommend a visit here if you are in the area.
