Well ok, some chains eateries are good. This one is technically not part of a chain but with low quality like this, it might as well be. The beer is even more disappointing.

Tried the sampler of beers, and we like most beers but not here. Only place I have NEVER finished a glass of beer. Forget about a pint.

Avoid the fajitas at all costs. These things should be labeled TV dinner. The Colorado beef burgers and sirloin steak are ok (did not try the bison), except for the buns, the salads, and the sides purported to be vegetables. I mean come on, how can an independent pubbery that looks like a chainery be this baddery, as in assualt and battery on my taste buds.

Oh well at least it was not too expensive even if service was suspicious when I asked for comment cards (apparently they do not exist?). Fajitas 12$, Colorado 1/2 plb. beef burger with guacamole and decent home fries 9$, 8 oz sirloin with side salad 11$.

Did I mention to avoid the beer? Well one exception the IPA may be ok, I just do not have good taste for that one. Maybe the winter brews are better?

As far as brew pubs go this one is the best in Castle Rock area. It has a mix of appitizers and dinner items. The portions are huge and the nachos and potato skins are pretty good. The steaks aren't too bad but I would recommend the burgers and fish & chips over the steak as it is difficult to get it cooked to your specifications. (Sometimes under cooked - sometimes overcooked). With friendly service, daily specials and a loyal local crowd- it is a good place to take the kids. The atmosphere is a bit loud with TV's, pool table and such but that is what a sports bar/ brewpub is all about. If you are in the mood to have a burger and fries and watch a game - nothing beats Rockyard.
