“Our GO-TO restaurant”
Reviewed March 29, 2013

We have eaten at Taste many times and always had good food. Love having 4 salsas with chips at the start. Of course we always eat more than we should! I love the fish tacos and they are totally good for me! They have been very kind about substitutions. You will find us there many more times.

I am not rating the bar scene, outdoor seating, late night, brunch or reservations because I don't know. But

“Great food! Not greasy and great service!”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

My husband and I love Mexican but there isn't anywhere good in Highlands Ranch. After discovering this place on my way home from Castle Rock I said we have to give it a try. Although a few bad reviews were posted we decided to try it today for lunch and SO glad we did. We started with the queso which went great with the homemad chips and 3 types of salsa they bring you (and a small side of beans). My husband had the chicken fajitas and I had the mahi tacos. Both were amazing. He had huge portions enough for two, and not greasy like many you find around. My tacos had an amazing mango salsa! Rice and beans were average, but hopefully you don't go out for Mexican just for rice and beans. And the original margarita, some posted it could be stronger but I though they were fabulous and I'm a margarita snob. And to tops it off, Jesus our server was amazing. Will be going back!!!!

“Good food with great atmosphere & service!”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

Had a great lunch here yesterday! A group of us enjoyed a leisurely lunch trying a wide range of entrees. My Cancun Enchiladas were wonderful . They were stuffed with a mix of Mahi Mahi and shrimp then smothered in a mild cream sauce. They brought me some freshly chopped jalapenos to compliment the cream sauce and lime. The seafood was fresh and flavorful. My husband's Steak Tampiqueña, charbroiled Carne Asada paired with a chicken mole enchilada, was pretty fantastic. All in all, we enjoyed great service and fresh flavorful fare! YAY!

“Little Secret”
Reviewed September 4, 2012

Hidden little gem of a restaurant (altho might not be after this review). Fantastic food, service, views (outside) in Castle Rock CO. The margs are absolutely delish! Food to die for. I had the Pescadero Tacos, fish tacos, husband had Chicken Cheese Enchiladas. Portions very generous so we had two dinners. We went there for our 41st Anniversary and were treated like royalty, to include song and free dessert! Sopapillas filled with honey and a candle. Beautiful ambianane. This restaurant is good for an anniversary or business meeting plus a summer happy hour. Go there.

“A Favorite Place to Dine!”
Reviewed June 22, 2012

A Taste of Mexico is a personal favorite and never disappoints. They are attentive and the food is great. Don't let a few scare you away from this great restaurant - I have been going for 2 years and have never had a bad experience! We have had up to 55 people with us at one time and they handled it with grace. Actually, I think I will go there tonight.
