The Comfort Inn & Suites was a great place for me to stay while in the Carbondale area. The hotel has been remodeled in the last two years and is clean and has all the basics. I had room 119 which was like having my own appartment on the ground floor wiith an outside entrance nearby. Windows are operable if you like fresh air. Friendly staff and easy access to town. I recommend it.

We spent 8 nights over the X-mas holiday while skiing the Aspen area and found it very pleasant. We thought the hotel was new but were told it is just well maintained and much older then it looks.
Our room, #216 was a two room king suite with a sitting room which also contains a small kitchen area. Everything in it looked brand new and was always kept spotless by housekeeping, as was the rest of the hotel. The only problem with our room was that the sitting room would get so hot at times that you couldn't stand to be in it. There was no apparent heat source in the room nor a window that you could open. We asked the front desk if they could do something but nothing changed. It would get so hot in the mornings when we were getting dressed that we would have to stay in the bed room in front of it's open window to try to cool off.
The pool area was small but there were so few guests using it that it was more then adequate. Carbondale is no Aspen but it is a nice little town with plenty of places to eat along with those in near by Glennwood Springs.
The best rate we could come up with was $150 a night so the bill for our stay was $1200 which seem high compaired to similar trips we have taken to ski resort areas at this time of year, but then again, this is considered the Aspen area and everything is high. This was a good trip and a good place to stay but be prepared to pay for the experience.

Spent one night at this hotel while touring Colorado. Arrived around 7 pm and got one of the last two rooms available - a king suite with tiny living room and kitchenette. The hotel looked new and well maintained. Our room was okay, but certainly not worth the $135 we were charged. Fortunately, our room was quiet with no road noise. This hotel is right off the highway and the rooms at the back of the hotel are no doubt quite a bit noiser. The front desk clerk gave us the AAA discounted rate although we're not AAA members, saving us $15 off the quoted rate of $150.

Breakfast was included in the rate and was okay, nothing special.

Check out was disorganized and we were initially given another customer's bill, but we caught the error and it was resolved easily enough.

This was a very nice hotel. They had guest laundry on both floors which was very convenient. The room was large and comfy and very clean. The location was convenient between Aspen and Glenwood Springs. We were there to see the Maroon Bells and had planned to stay in Aspen, but at $300 a night, we decided on Carbondale instead. It's only about a 20 minute drive and it was less than a third of the price. Very worth the 20 minutes.

If you want to stay in Glenwood Springs, but away from the hustle and bustle, consider staying in Carbondale. Only 10 miles away, it is worth the stay. The managers and staff at this establishment are friendly, courteous and well informed of what is going on in town and in Glenwood Springs or Aspen. Aspen is only 20 miles out. This Comfort Inn & Suites is small and quaint and is nestled near the Roaring Fork river. Rooms are clean, and beds are comfortable. There is a free "deluxe continental breakfast", along with the free paper that could be enjoyed out on their patio with a breathtaking view. The only draw back would have to be the indoor swimming pool. The pool is very small, and could easily get crowded with only a couple of families.

This Comfort Inn is one of the best we've stayed in. The staff was friendly, the rooms clean and spacious and our king size bed was very comfortable, which was much appreciated after a day of hiking. Free breakfast is also provided, which included waffles, french toast, hard boiled eggs, cereal, coffee and an assortment of juices. Carbondale is located 30 minutes from Aspen and only 15 minutes from Glenwood Springs and Interstate 70. The scenery in the area is really beautiful. The only negative thing we found at this location is the lack of dining options in Carbondale.

This is one of our top two wonderful hotel experiences since we were married 14+ years ago! This property is amazing! We felt like we were staying in someone's home. Every night of our 3-night stay was 100% occupancy, but you would not have known it. The property was extremely quiet, thanks to the layout, even though there were many families.

The staff were incredibly helpful and nice. The facility was in tip-top shape - even the pool/hot tub area mentioned in another review. The breakfast was wonderful other than one-half of the double toaster not working (it was the only toaster). The breakfast room was huge and the "back porch" to eat on next to the river was lovely. The "front porch" was great, too, although we never used it. There were fresh chocolate chip cookies every evening.

Our room was large and we had two huge windows to look at the mountains and river that ran by the property. I saw the two levels of suite rooms and they are great - but were booked so we had to get a smaller room.

The wireless high-speed internet worked great and the use of an internet-ready computer in the beautiful lobby (fireplace and great furnishings) was a great amenity also.

There were two sets of washers and dryers that worked wonderfully (no need to add more money to the dryer). The dryers were huge Maytags that were great to have.

There is a path behind the property down to the river which was wonderful! I just can't say enough good things about this very clean, very nice property. I asked if it was new, but was told it was 10 years old. It sure doesn't show it. It was an extremely great value for the area. We saved $40-100 per night over Glenwood Springs or Aspen rates for similar properties. We will definitely stay there again!
