Stayed here during the 1st week of August. The inn is centrally located on a little side street off of the main street in Carbondale, perfect quiet location. Our room was the Kauai , which is on the main floor. Very spacious room with a comfortable bed. The room has a tropical feel with a two person jacuzzi tub in the bedroom. The toilet and sink are in a tiny room next to the jacuzzi. This arrangement was ok with us. There is also a flat screen tv in the room. The innkeepers, Bob and Norma, was very helpful with information about restaurants and where to fish. The food was really great. The main living/dining room was spacious and plenty of reading material was available, including a library upstairs. There is always a large candy dish filled to the top. Give this inn a try, you won't go wrong.

Magnificent views are steps from the front door. Walk to world-class dining, along the rails-to-trails path or take the bus to places all over the Valley. Friendly attentive service with luxury touches, but without any fuss. Best breakfast table conversations we have had at any B & B with other travelers we'd love to meet up with again. Yummy breakfasts/flexible for our dietary restrictions. Seasoned travelers themselves, Bob and Norma have lived in the Aspen region for years, know all of the insider info, and will treat you like friends.

Ambiance Inn is a great place to stay centrally located to see the sights of Redstone, Carbondale and Glenwood Springs. We happened to be there on the first Thursday and took in a local rodeo which was so much fun The inn is walkable to downtown Carbondale. Bob and Norma were excellent hosts. Good breakfast and we met interesting travelers. We stayed in the Aspen Suite with a double bed and a sunroom with a comfortable futon. The room was well appointed with anything you would need from the microwave, coffee maker, little candies, tea, etc.
The room was quiet even with other guests right next door.

Room Tip: There is no elevator and the stairs are very steep. So if you have trouble negotiating stairs ask...

My husband and I stayed in the Sonoma Room for 4 nights. Reservations were quick, done over the phone with Norma a couple weeks in advance.

This was our first B&B experience.

Upon our arrival, Bob asked about dietary restrictions for breakfast. I stated no sugar or carbs and my husband stated that he does not eat pancakes or waffles (for some reason they upset his stomach – which is too bad, because he LOVES carbs). Bob responded “It will be buffet so you can pick and choose what you like”. The table setting at breakfast is just beautiful and the coffee was delicious.

The stairs to the 3 upper rooms are very steep.

Breakfast is served promptly at 8am Mon-Fri / 8:30am on the weekends. We enjoyed that they had a Kurig with a large selection of coffees in the hallway so we could have a cup of coffee earlier if we desired.

Visiting with other guests at breakfast was a GREAT way to start our day.

We ate breakfast 3 out of the 4 mornings at Ambiance Inn. It was light as our dietary restrictions kept us from enjoying the majority of what was served, so on the days that we were active, we stopped at the local grocery on our way out of town for extra fruit and snacks.

There is a chilled filter water dispenser, which was great for filling up our water bottles and a small common fridge upstairs. My favorite was the bowl of clementines at the bottom of the stairs – we took them hiking and they were a perfect treat at the top of Hanging Lake.

There were candies in our room and throughout the house which was a ‘sweet’ touch. Wine glasses and an opener was also provided in our room.

Our room was tidied up once during our stay.

We really enjoyed this area, but we will probably stay at a hotel next time as I don’t think we are B&B people.

Room Tip: I would ask for a room upstairs

My fiancé and I spent this weekend at the Ambiance Inn and it was a great experience. We stayed in the Santé Fe room and it was big and spacious and everything was clean and in picture perfect condition. The best part of the Ambiance is the owners! They are great people and treat everyone like their own family. They made a wonderful breakfast and it was a cozy environment in the dining room area. It was a great experience and we will definitely be back again!

Very tastefully decorated room, beautiful table setting, and very tasty breakfast, all for $59 less than a motel nearby. Cordial hosts and interesting guests from Holland made breakfast a treat!
We will be back as soon as possible!

This house might be easy to overlook but if you do you are really missing out on a lot. This is a great place to stay & very inexpensive. Yet the rooms are quite nice & Norma & Bob are great cooks & hosts. If you don't know the area they can tell you all kinds of places to see & how to get there. We've stayed there 4 years in a row. Every time we take our annual trip to see family we make sure we come back thru this area & would never consider staying anywhere but Ambiance.

Room Tip: I favor 2 of the rooms upstairs. The one is largest in the house with outside area as well as separa...
