Hibiscus Lodge

Hibiscus Lodge is on a quiet street in the midst on a lovely property. The garden and pool are wonderfully cared for and the home is spacious and comfortable. Our room opened onto a large guest lounge with coffee and tea and a fridge for our drinks and snacks. The pool was so refreshing after hot days of touring and snorkeling.

Hosts Adrienne and Robert are so friendly and helpful - they know everyone in town, what the restaurants serve, who to call for bookings, and even drive guests to dinner! A highlight was the hour we spent each eveing visiting with our hosts and other guests over a complimentary drink. The continental breakfast served on the veranda each morning featured a different freshly baked muffin every day and wonderful fruit.

This place is just the best - found it by accident several years ago and have been there almost every year since and have taken friends who also have fallen in love with the place Great hosts, lovely place - restful for the soul. The breakfast on the verandah is to die for and the welcome tea/coffee and muffins are great. Also love the glass of wine with the hosts iin the evening on the verandah. Nice restaurants are not too far away and the feel is just laid back. Like to go over to Dunk for the day on the ferry and the beaches are quiet and lovely.

We stayed here for 2 nights and would have been very happy to stay longer. Adrienne came out to meet us as we arrived and greeted us by name. She and Robert were both very friendly and very helpful.
Our room was lovely, spacious and spotless with a good shower. We liked the guest sitting room although we didn't make much use of it and having tea and coffee always available was great.
Breakfast was delicious, served on the verandah overlooking the absolutely splendid gardens. Balm for the soul.

We stayed for 6 nights and felt so much at home we didn't want to leave. Robert and Adrienne (along with Bella and Smokey Bear) are perfect hosts who will do anything for you,, from booking tours, local advice and of course, that yummy breakfast with the bonus visitors on the lawn (12 mth old cassowary and the wallabies).

We got to know other guests whilst we were there and everyone was saying the same thing ... "what a magnificant place to stay" ...

We will be definately be back ..... thanks Robert & Adrienne ... we're missing the 6 pm drinks and chats on the deck!!

We stayed here for 3 nights for some activies around Mission Beach and couldn't have picked a better place. Huge modern house, kiwi hosts and a tropical surrounding ensure a great stay. The house is in an absolutely quite cul-de-sac but still in walking distance to restaurants, shops, the beach or the local shuttle bus. Still not convinced? What about breakfast with wallabies or your chance to see a cassowary from the deck?

We had a lovely stay with Robert and Adrienne. We arrived late in the evening but Adrienne was outside ready to welcome us and show us around. The room was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated, with a huge spa bath and views to the immaculately kept gardens. Unfortunately we couldn't stay for long but before we left we enjoyed the most magnificent breakfast on the veranda - Robert cooked up a storm! We started chatting with a lovely couple who were also staying there and we all ended up lingering over a long breakfast and coffees. This B&B is a very short walk to the beach and a five minute drive from the main shops. We loved our stay and wished we could have stayed longer.

Fantastic place a stone away from the beach. The hosts are just amazing, friendly, helpful, best of the best. Have a drink with them on sunset and enjoy the QLD atmosphere, cool and relaxed. You wake up in the morning and a big breakfast will wait for you, difficult to ask for more. Do not miss it if you are around
