Hibiscus lodge is a wonderful place with a beautiful garden, and it takes just a few minutes to walk to the beach. Adrienne and Robert were really helpful and gave us lots of Information. we enjoyed sitting on the verandah and having a glass of wine and talking about our plans and we enjoyed having breakfast with the wallabies that came really close to the terrace. The next time we would stay there for more than two nights, there are lots of things to do and to see in this area and Hibiscus Lodge is just a piece of paradise.

To our beautiful Austrian Family. Thankyou Petronella for your wonderful review. We are so pleased your family had a great time at Hibiscus Lodge. We were only too pleased to help with your local tours and sightseeing. Your teenage children were a pleasure to have and we particularly enjoyed their conversations at Happy Hour. We could see they enjoyed it to.
You seemed to be amazed at your breakfast with the wallaby experience as do most of our European guests. We have about 12 wallaby residing on our property now. We just love having them around.
Once again a big thankyou and hopefully we will see you all again sometime in the future. Stay longer next time there is such a lot to do in Mission Beach.
Kind regards Robert & Adrienne.

On arrival we were blown away by the gardens, house and accommodation. The hosts, Robert and Adrienne show their experience by perfect timing - I.e. Leaving one with total privacy to eat the sumptuous fresh breakfast, including three delicious preserves. We watched the wallaby mother feeding her son during breakfast.
The room was very comfortable, armchairs in particular - loved the colour of the towels etc. water cooler for guests, plus biscuits etc were only the start of their hospitality. 6pm saw us sitting on the decking with a large glass of wine (or beer), ambience set with outdoor candles lit amongst the foliage.
Plus their Wifi speed is so incredible we ran a speed test and got 15mbps although they did warn us that sometimes it is not so reliable AND it was all included.
They provided good information about the local eateries and useful tips about our next destination. Thanks Robert we made it up Castle Hill (in the car) in Townsville and we stopped and partook at Frosty Mango!

Thankyou Julie and Ian for such an outstanding review. Coming from an avid Tripadvisor reviewer you have made us feel quite proud of what we have achieved over the past 12 years.
We were particularly pleased you enjoyed your breakfast along side our resident Wallabies. They enjoyed their breakfast to.
Pleased you found our Wifi very fast. Quite a few people have commented on that.
We were only too pleased to help with your tour down south. We love sharing our travel knowledge with other guests.
You were both fantastic guests. Our only disappointment was you could only stay one night. There is such a lot to do in Mission Beach. Stay longer next time. We would love to have you both back one day.
Kind regards
Robert & Adrienne

This was our first experience of staying at a B & B and we were very impressed. Robert and Adrienne were excellent hosts, and they were able to tell us about local restaurants and attractions. Unfortunately we only had time to stay for one night, but at least we were able to experience the wildlife that wander into their garden, both at drinks time in the early evening, and at breakfast the following morning. We definitely plan to visit for an extended stay in the future.

Thankyou so much Peter and Pam for your generous review. We are pleased that your first B&B experience was memorable and that you feel you want to visit again . We always try our hardest to make our guests feel comfortable and relaxed and it appears that we have succeeded in your case.
Coming from New Zealand it must have been a real thrill at breakfast time to be joined by our resident Cassowary, Peanut. A truly amazing experience. The Wallaby family enjoyed breakfast with you too.
Look forward to seeing you both next year. For a longer stay next time we hope. There is so much to do in beautiful Mission Beach

Thank you Robert and Adrienne for a lovely stay at your B & B. Breakfasts were lovely and your accommodation was so relaxing, we really enjoyed our time with you. Evening drinks and catch up were enjoyable, as was meeting Peanut at breakfast time. The garden views were just beautiful too, as was the rainforest. Thankyou for a lovely time with you, we would like to return again one day.

Room Tip: Queen room was very roomy, clean and quiet.

Thankyou Lesley and Allan for such a wonderful review. It was such a joy having you both as our guests and we look forward to your return.
Peanut the Cassowary still arrives for breakfast as he did when you were here. What a unique experience it is. Hibiscus Lodge is probably the only B&B in the world where guests can sit and have a breakfast with the Cassowary experience. We are so lucky as are many of our overseas guests.
We are thrilled you found your accommodation comfortable and that you appreciated the garden and rainforest setting at Hibiscus Lodge.
Looking forward to your return next year.

Robert and Adrianne were fantastic hosts. We were only there one night on a stop over but we have marked it as a place we must return to for a peaceful relaxing holiday. Drinks on the verandah and breakfast on the porch were a taste of what a longer stay has to offer. Best B&B we have stayed in.

Room Tip: Only 3 rooms so all are in a great location.

We were looking forward to you returning to Hibiscus Lodge after your kayaking adventure so that we could hear all about your big trip .Hopefully, one day, you will return to us for more of a relaxing holiday. We will look forward to it.
We were thrilled that we made such an impression on you both after your short stay with us but at the same time we were pleased you had an enjoyable time watching all the animals at breakfast time.
Looking forward to your next visit which we hope is longer and more relaxing.

We really enjoyed our two night stay with Robert and Adrienne at Hibiscus Lodge. The rooms are lovely, extremely clean and bright. The garden and attached rainforest is a real credit to Robert, not only to walk around but just to sit and admire. The 6pm drinks on the verandah were a wonderful chance to chat to other people. We had been travelling for nearly 5 weeks, so the chance to sit down and talk to people other than my husband was great!! Breakfast on the verandah with the wallabies was lovely and the different food each morning was extremely welcome. We didn't manage to see "Peanut" but did see a cassowary in the wild whilst driving around Mission Beach. I would definitely recommend Hibiscus Lodge for a short or long stay :-).

WOW ! Thankyou Cathie and David for a fantastic review and such a pleasant surprise to hear from you. Sometimes we never know what people are thinking so to receive this review unexpectedly from you is a real thrill. You have made our hard work over the years seem well worth it.
We were particularly pleased you enjoyed your evening chat on the veranda and that you found your breakfast with the wallaby an enjoyable experience.
Sorry you missed Peanut the Cassowary he would have loved to have met you. As there is plenty of fruit around at present he is around about 2 to 3 times per day now. The Wallaby aren't too happy though as he likes to chase them.
Do hope the rest of your Queensland holiday was enjoyable.
Would love to have you both back again. Perhaps you could stay longer next time there is such a lot to do in Mission Beach.
Once again a big thankyou

Thank you so much Robert and Adrienne for making us feel so welcome during our stay in April 2014. We had a great time visiting all the places near by and even the weather didn't stop us from doing anything. It was great to meet Peanut the Cassowary and having breakfast with the wallabies every morning was great too. The weather was a little damp owing to cyclone Ita coming our way but you made us feel safe and even said we could stay if it did reach Mission Beach, luckily it went around us. You both made us feel as though we were part of the family and we would definitely recommend staying at Hibiscus Lodge, the evening drinks with you on the veranda were great and so was sharing stories of all the travelling both us and you had done. Both the Lodge and garden is a credit to you. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a very relaxing time . Steve and Mandy Beddoe England

Thankyou Steve and Mandy for such a glowing review.
We have been thinking about you two a lot since you left us after the terrible weather you had while staying at Hibiscus Lodge.
Cyclone Ita was a bit of a fizzer towards the end. It actually ended up in New Zealand.
We do hope you had some weather luck in Port Douglas after leaving here in the rain.
You both made the best of your stay in Mission Beach and got out and about around the area which is a good thing. There is always something to see in the rain around Mission Beach. Pleased you both met Peanut the Cassowary. He is still busy chasing Wallaby around the property and getting up to all kinds of mischief..
We were both very happy to have you stay over the Cyclone period. We were so pleased we had such nice people to keep us company as we were not really too sure what was going to happen with Cyclone Ita. You were both the perfect guests to have at the time.
Thankyou for choosing Hibiscus Lodge for your stay in Mission Beach and we look forward very much to your next visit sometime in the future.
Hopefully better weather next time.
xxx Robert & Adrienne
