This is a unique heritage hotel which was apparently once a palace. It has lots of character and is run by the family who were once royals. The family employ local staff who may not be hospitality trained but are keen to help with anything you need. There's not much to do outside the hotel grounds, there is a local village but we couldn't find a chai shop anywhere. Our room was large and clean. The evening meal was lovely but breakfast was a bit lacking. Still a very nice stay.

Not many independent travellers come here but they really should because it is so unique. The palace has been systematically renovated and decorated using local labour and is currently a truly amazing place to stay. They organise safaris to the local villages and these are a must if you come out here. Food is good and our room was fantastic. There is a good outdoor pool within the palace walls and they have massages on site. The real reason for coming though must be the for general ambience and friendliness of the owners, all the staff and the villagers. It is such an amazing place to stay and quite reasonably priced too, mid range price for luxury accommodation!

It was a joy to stay here in the excellent, huge rooms high ceilings, huge shower and filled with antiques. A small pool to sit by and a massage should you require .The village walk was very interesting with a member of staff but the evening safari made the memories, even though we didn’t see leopards. The sunset was awesome and with a suprise gin and tonic provided , it doesn’t get better than that.

We stayed here as part of a tour around Rajasthan.
A bit of a quirky but charming place this. Our room was lovely overlooking the courtyard. Lots of room and working A/C which was welcome when we first arrived.
Lovely service in the evening with the owner coming to chat with us. Slight niggle that the dinner and breakfast was slightly cold but it was still tasty.
