The salsa is fantastic! The best I've ever had in any restaurant. I had a chicken burrito in June and went back in August and had a chicken chimichunga. The chicken is shredded (which I like) and not cut into chunks. My husband is going to the Royal Gorge next month and can't wait to have dinner at El Caporal. The chips are good and served warm. The amount of food for each serving is large, so be prepared to stay awhile. The servers are gracious and very kind. I visited Santa Fe in June and also in August, but never experienced a Mexican meal like the one I had at El Caporal. Just wonderful! Oh, and notice the carved wooden booths, they are beautiful.
