As B&B's go, this one is top notch. The 1890 Victorian is beautifully maintained, tastefully decorated, and so very comfortable. The hosts, Lyn and Wendy, do a wonderful job with such charm and grace. We felt so welcome. And the food? Delicious! Cannot recommend this lovely place enough.

Jewel of the Canyons was a great place to stay and the owner was very welcoming and helpful. The room was extremely elegant and comfortable. Shame that Canyon City itself doesn’t have a bit more going for it, but we had a delicious meal at the French restaurant and enjoyed our ride on the Royal Gorge. An AMAZING breakfast and good company of fellow guests. Highly recommend

This was the first time my wife an I had stayed at a B&B and we walked out of there after a wonderful breakfast the next morning saying that we needed to write a great review of the place. Lyn is the man. He was enjoyable to be around when we arrived and cooked up a wonderful breakfast before we headed out to our rafting trip.
If you are staying in Canon City it's worth it to stay here. Couldn't recommend this place more.

My husband and I recently stayed for 2 nights at this B&B and all we can say is WOW!. Lyn was a terrific host and fabulous cook. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. We felt like we were at home. It was so quiet at night that we slept better than we have in many years. We stayed in 6 hotels during our trip and the Jewel of the Canyon, was far superior to any of them. Lyn and Laura cooked us great breakfasts, their food was yummy and we throughly enjoyed their cooking. We would certainly stay here again and highly recommend you stay here too. We were able to walk to the train station and to several resturants while there. Which was nice, instead of having to drive.

Enroute to Keystone from Houston via Amarillo, we stopped over in Canon City to aclimatize to the altitude and had a great experience at Jewel of the Canyon. The bed and breakfast is immaculate, the accommodations (Red Rock Room) were exceptional, and on Lynn's recommendation we had a wonderful dinner at Le Petit Chablis just a few blocks away.

We will be making this a regular stop on our trips to Colorado.

I've stayed at a number of B&B's so I've seen what is out there. Lynn and Wendy are fantastic hosts! In the interest of economy, I looked into getting a room at a local hotel but this establishment was less expensive and much more appealing. The room was lovely (I stayed in Queen's Canyon) and had a private bathroom. The breakfast was TO DIE FOR! Lyn knows his stuff. They were also very accomodating when asked about resturants/attractions in the area and made reservations for me. I really enjoyed getting up in the morning, going out into the beautiful enclosed garden and reading with a cup of coffee in hand that seemed to magically refill itself. Not to mention the afternoon treats that were made available...I'm just glad I was active during the trip.
The B&B itself is an hour outside of Colorado Springs and is close to some really great attractions. Next time I go to Colorado, I will be staying at this Bed and Breakfast.

Cost-effective, convenient, and charming! Lyn and Wendy really strive to take care of their guests as though we're family. They waited for our late arrival, scheduled breakfast to accommodate our early-morning schedule, and always served us with a smile. Staying here was like staying at a friend's house; we had everything we needed! (And Lyn is a tremendous breakfast cook!)

Jewel of the Canyons is walking distance to the city's Main Street and to the Canon City Queen Anne Tea Room just a few blocks away, and the weather was beautiful, so this experience was one of a kind. We would definitely stay here again!
