New owners at Jewel of the Canyons Bed and Breakfast were very accommodating and friendly. The rooms were clean. the beds comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and filling! We enjoyed sitting on the large front porch and enjoyed the pretty garden with water feature in the evenings. The B&B is located conveniently close to many attractions in town. It was the perfect place to get together with my sister and my two adult daughters. There are plenty of things to do in Canon and the surrounding area. We really enjoyed conversations with the other guests during breakfast at the communal table each morning, We highly recommend this place as it truly is a Jewel!

Room Tip: The Queens Canyon room has a bathroom connected. The Golden Canyon room has a bathroom just a few st...

We stayed here at The Jewel for three nights and couldn't have had better care and hospitality anywhere. Michelle and Brian recently took over this B & B and they will excel. It is as if Michelle was born to look after you and be your friend. Her cooking is wonderful and they both took the time to share their story with us and to listen and be interested in our story.
Their residence is a beautifully cared for place and the front porch and upstairs verandah are delightful places to sit and mull over the day. We wouldn't hesitate to return to this wonderful Jewel of the Canyons.

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was simply delightful. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with a smile and a plate of scrumptious chocolate chip cookies and brownies. The gardens were very well maintained and provided a relaxing atmosphere while we sat on the front porch. The rooms were cozy and elegant. The owners just took over in may of 2013 and are doing a fabulous job!! Breakfast was outstanding both days (eggs bennedict and then pecan belgian waffles--yum, yum!) We enjoyed the company of the owners, as they really took the time to sit and talk to us and make us feel at home. Its always refreshing to know there is a spot to return to with the right accommodations, atmosphere, and attitude. Thanks so much to Brian and Michelle for a great trip!!

Room Tip: The Queens Room looks to be the best, as it is large and has an attatched bathroom

Great accommodations & outstanding breakfast in a perfect location. Rooms are very well appointed and comfortable. Decor and furnishings throughout make this a very unique B & B. Less than a 10 min walk to Le Petit Chablis and several other bars/restaurants or 15 mins to the Royal Gorge train depot. This is THE place to stay if planning a night or 2 in this nice little town.

We were made to feel very welcomed and part of the home immediately upon arrival. The home was very welcoming to guest: there were both private areas and common areas. The front porch looking over the beautiful landscaping was a step back in time. We walked to the downtown (which was only two blocks away) where there were a variety of places to eat and shop. Michelle and Brian sat out on the porch with us upon our return which was a very nice touch. The sheets were awesome, the bed and room were comfortable, and we even had a sauna in our bathroom! Smelling bacon cooking in the morning was very nice. The breakfast was very good: the whole stay was pleasant, homey, and every amenity for comfort was available. I would make the 600 mile drive just to stay here again!

New owners are extremely courteous, friendly, and accommodating. It's a little awkward that some of the bathrooms, while private and room-specific, are not actually connected to the room and involve a jaunt down the hallway. The air conditioner left something to be desired (had to use a room fan also), and the internet connectivity is pretty much non-existent, but the room prices are reasonable, the food was excellent, coffee and tea always available, and the ambience was unbeatable. It's a beautiful place in the perfect location. I would definitely book there again and highly recommend it .

My fiance and I stayed at the Jewel of the Canyon bed and breakfast on our first trip to Colorado. We had never stayed at a b and b before. We were so glad we did. Michelle and Brian were so warm and welcoming. It felt like home not a hotel. The breakfast was delicious. We could walk downtown to the brewery, restaurants, shops, and ice cream. We hiked up sky line drive and walked to the royal gorge train depot. We had a wonderful vacation and could not have asked for a better place to stay. Stay in the queens canyon room. It has a bathroom attached to the room. We priced out other hotels and cabin rentals and this was really reasonable.
