“Special, warm and memorable...”

Right from when we drove up to the beautiful Victorian three story home, we were personally greeted by name on the lighted running sign with our names up on the side of the home, such a surprise. As we entered, it was as if we were going to a close friends home for a holiday dinner. Al and Linda welcomed us in, explained how the dinner would be presented, showed us our private dining room, then gave us a complete tour of the first floor where we would done. The dinner began with wonderful teas and scones and Devonshire cream, just wonderful. The food was amazing, most of us had beef Wellington, and one had coconut shrimp. Everyone was delighted with the personal warm service and the privacy we were allowed in the home. We were celebrating an early Thanksgiving, and it could not have been more special for us. The home was decorated so beautifully with Victorian details, and we were allowed all the time we wished to visit, wander through the rooms and take pictures, and there were even rooms with special items for sale as well. I think this is a terrific value for such a special memory for our family. We will be talking about this a lot in times to come. We are planning a trip back very very soon for te and crumpets!

“Best birthday ever!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 13, 2012

This was the second time I had been to the Queen Ann. It was just as good as the first time! I was able to introduce my brother and stepfather to a new and wonderful place. I had Beef Wellington, my daughter had a filet and my brother and stepfather had salmon. We all enjoyed our meals! Linda and Al are wonderful hosts! The food is cooked to perfection and the tea, scones and desserts are wonderful!
Its worth the drive if you are from out of town and if you live in Canon, please give it a try. We are so lucky to have such an amazing restaurant here and we need to support it!

“Excellent Tea Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 13, 2012

The Queen Anne Tea Room, also known as the Canon City Queen Anne, is a great place to meet your girlfriends for afternoon tea. It is housed in a beautiful "Old Lady" Victorian that Al and Linda have remodeled as a labor of love, and it shows. You can have tea in one of several parlors or the dining room, all furnished with period-appropriate decor. There is a great selection of teas to choose from. It would have been helpful to have a short description of the teas on the list but Linda was able to describe them for us and answer any questions. Al was our server and promptly delivered our tea selections as well as the tier of tea delights. While we were eating he enlightened us with a history of the house and Canon City. We each had a chicken-salad croissant, cucumber and cream cheese open faced sandwich, bacon and cheese pinwheels, blueberry or raspberry-chocolate scone, followed by dessert of a mini cream puff and chocolate dipped strawberry. Everything was delicious but the bacon pinwheels were our favorite and Linda graciously shared the recipe. Following tea, we were invited back to the kitchen where Linda was conducting a pie-crust making class. She's amazing and we all came away with helpful tips. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

Thank you, for your kind review and for returning to High Tea at the Queen Anne. Linda and I enjoy every experience in serving, we also seek to know if there is something we need to add or do, to continue to make your fine dining, "moments of magic." Blessings.

“Wonderful Celebration dinner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2012

We took some friends to celebrate their engagement, and hers & my birthday. Everything was special! Our friends brought me flowers, and Linda got us a beautiful vase to put them in some water. Riley, our waitress, was friendly and very efficient- we never felt rushed or neglected. The food was marvelous - I ate every mouthwatering bite of my steak- cooked to perfection. The soup, salad and sides were excellent as well. Kudos to the chef! Also, I forgot to inform them that one of our guests was gluten intolerant until after we'd arrived. They handled it beautifully, though it was my bad for not telling them in advance!

“Unexpected delight”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2012

Visited the Queen Anne for my wifes birthday and invited her brother and his wife to join us. We were instantly taken with the place, a beautifully restored Victorian house with Barbs name in lights. Al and Linda assisted by Patrick greeted us at the door and made us feel as if we were family. The food was wonderfully prepared and served with attention to detail. Never the feeling that perhaps you should eat up a get out to make room for someone else, guests have essentially their own room which is tastefully decorated with a theme, ours was Italian. Unexpected elegance in Canyon City. You won't be disappointed.
